This may have been raised before, but check out this quote... Quote: "Acquiring more Collingwood games has also been an MCC proposal, with the AFL having rejected a bid by the ground manager to have Carlton play more home games at the larger venue. This would also be in return for giving up its contractual hold on the preliminary final."
That is from this article: http://www.realfooty.theage.com.au/real ... m=storyrhs We know Carlton proposed more games for the club at the MCG as a way to get the AFL out of the Preliminary Final contractual obligations. The AFL said "get [REDACTED]". Now the talk is they'll use Collingwood in a similar way, but that gets the thumbs up. What's going on with the world? |

Its simple really. Sue the pants of the AFL for restraint of trade. Last year they said it was not possible due to "schedule requirements" or some other shite, but this year it is, surely the club would have a very strong hand in taking the AFL to the cleaners "for lost revenue" over the 10 years if we had of gone with the 8/3 which was preferred by everyone. |

Nothing to fulminate about - Demetrispew and Evans are vindictive, lying corrupt turds - without character, morals. ![]() ![]() ![]() If anyone thought Black Friday 2002 was just about Draft Penalties and a paltry $900,000 fine they are just kidding themselves. ![]() Carlton will continue to be penalised until "The Spew", Rotten Ron Evans, and the remainder of the Commission who were in power from November 2002 are no longer if office. ![]() ![]() I hope supporters have a goodly supply of KY lubricant because we are going to need it. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

the competition is hopelessly compromised! every aspect of it! even a simple and stupid TV show becomes contentious, controversial, cynical, spiteful .... poor AGRO is gonna have to take up following another sport in order to enjoy old age! the fact is, demipig only loves the 16 team concept cos he's realized he can use it to his advantage. he has politicised the draw or fixture or whatever they call it these days! what should be sacrosanct and unfettered is now used to allow the bully boy to hold a gun to a club's head so he can get his way. ![]() |

You know something - in the past few months - I have taken an active interest in AGRO Junior's football club - and I am getting more enjoyment watching my son run around the local Under 12's competition ![]() I buy a pie or a sausage in bread for ($2 - my doctor don't like it but my bank manager sure does). Every time my kid gets a kick I nearly get a tear in my eye ![]() What do I get from following AFL - other than being ripped off, indigestion and a peptic ulcer from seeing what other F - U - C - K up that Demetrispew and Evans can deliver. Getting close to the time for cutting up my membership I reckon. ![]() |

What's going on with the world? If the AFL agree to allow Collingwood to play extra games at MCG as a trade off to MCC for losing Prelim then we should take legal action against the AFL. If the club does not pursue it then CFC members should look at taking "class action" against the AFL. Surely we could argue that we were denied natural justice. |

Hate to point this out but there's only one figure at Carlton over the last 20 years who would have taken the AFL to court over this. The AFL do hate us, went for a job interview and the topic of football came up, the lady interviewing me said she used to barrack for Carlton but she also used to work at the AFL....so she's no longer a fan of Carlton. Not sure I did my chances much good when I said I wasn't a big fan of the AFL either. |

All the AFL care about is $$$$$$$$$$$$$$. The only way they'll listen is if revenue drops off. I know giving up club membership on mass is unrealistic and unfortunately they've got us supporters by the balls in that respect. The AFL have setup a competition which requires clubs to meet certain financial levels which in turn FORCES the general footy fan to shell out more and more of their hard earned to keep their club alive whilst also being forced to accept any conditions the AFL dish out. It's fu*king blackmail. |

Its probably a drop in the ocean but if everyone refused to buy anything other than Carlton memberships - meaning food & *gulp* even beer it might make a difference. |
