this week is a big one for the club ! .. definite 8 point game

if we win we will keep in touch with the 8 .. (if freo lose to the pies then we'll be in)

if we lose then its a game and a half out ..

sure we've lost a few solid running players and the tigers are showing some good form ..

.. BUT ..

i feel we can cover the players out with mcgrath, prenda, davies, bentick or morrell .. more ground time for slimmo and bj and we still have a good running side ..

also .. port should have been 6 - 8 goals up but kicked badly .. while the tigers kicked 13 straight .. 13 straight ! .. cant see that happening again !

the key is pressure and skill .. defensive pressure, tackling, harassing, spoiling, chasing .. to the max, for all 4 qtrs .. starting at the first bounce

they have had a good rest so no excuses this week

and skill .. when its our turn with the ball .. hit the target, make the right choice .. dont try to over do it .. just move it on, clean possession

barney has been fantastic and should again provide a good contest .. we know we can win the stoppages and if we can show some skill in our ball movement then we should get enough chances to kick a winning score .. jarrad is as good a target as we've had for a while

so lets go blues .. this game is huge .. :D

if those 4 points become ours .. the joy will be unbelievable

Said it on another thread, this is the biggest game we've been in since the last time Rich beat us (the final in 01)

Huge game…

I reckon we'll lose though (sorry to be negative!)

I reckon we will win because:

- The only Richmond "matchwinning" players are Richo, Brown, Coughlan & Kane johnson. Despite our injuries we still have Stevens, Kouta, Scotland, Lappin, Whitnall & Waite who will worry the tigers.
- We have an 8 day break and are due for a solid 4 quarter performance in Melbourne. Richmond have had only 6 days and are probably overconfident after playing a very flat Port Adelaide last week.

Feeling confident about this one!!

Forgot to mention that the tigers will have to worry about Houlihan as well.
