We certainly have the ability to beat them.

Whether our guys USE that ability is a different matter.

Having a few players with 30+ possies counts for nought if the possessions are useless soft outside passes and pissing around.

I think they are vulnerable to a fast type of play.

We'll just see.

If I can't get $5.00 from sportsbet on a head to head it will be criminal.

And if I can, I'll be taking it...

I agree with Fev, Davies and Bentick. Don't know if Clarke will improve us too much. Don't know enough about Bryan to comment. But I think either Karl or Morrel should be brought in for our defence. Hopefully Carrots will come up too.

Agree with the ommissions of Longmuir (hasn't really shown anything to be excited about) and especially Sporn (my god he frustrates me). The other 3 are possibles and there are going to be regular players being ommitted at the expense of bringing in the likes of Bentick, Davies etc.

i dont think clarke will improve us much either but he has been trying his arse off in the bullants and will at least bring heart and pace.

i want to see people come in and try - but also play - no point dropping people only to bring in new ones and sit em on the bench for 100 minutes

One day Pagan will get the setup right from the start of the much- we are far too precious with denis on here - he needs a serve too.

Far too slow in reacting and rarely proactive on game days

You want to reward effort and you want Fev back in the side. How does that work? Don't get me wrong I expect Fev to be back too, but you could hardly call his return from suspension a reward for effort. If Denis really wanted to send a message Brendan would have to earn his spot via the Bullants.

yeah agree camel - but i couldn't have left him out as i just cant see it happening

but again i would love nothing more than for him to have to wear the red and white - i would wear the loss and be happy that the message has been sent through the team

Saw a fair bit of the VFL today and Glen Bowyer would be an absolute certainty to come in, had leather poisoning today. Cory McGrath not as much of the ball as Bowyer but more classy when he got it and I'd say he'll come back in too. Fev obviously will return too so there are three likely changes you'd think. Davies got into the game a bit after half time but made some bad decisions and in a perfect world I'd still keep him in the VFL but our hand might be forced and he'll get a game.

If Clarke comes in then I'm going fishing.... No offence to Clarke but he doesn't belong in our 22...... Remnds me of Tim Powell or Mark Athorn..

No probs with Bowyer and Clarke coming in. I know their disposal is crap but lack of heart, desire, courage, discipline and commitment are what's really killing us and these fellas have it in abundance.

Deluca needs a bit of confidence back. He needs to get back to a form of the game where he can dominate and feel the ball in his hands and practive one-grab marks and hitouts to advantage etc. Maybe Brian should get a shot?

Bentick is an absolute must. If the club wants supporters to maintain their faith in the team, I think we needs to start seeing some of the young kids getting a chance to show what they've got.

Dropping Deluca serves no purpose. He's a fish out of water in defence, it's no wonder he's struggling, he can't be expect to slot into what is for him a foreign position and excel. We've had no choice at times but he's a square peg in a round hole and it's not his fault.

Which is why he needs time out to get some confidence back in his game...

At least Chapman looks as though he might be out of next week's game. He copped an ankle injury. He has chopped us up a few times, so here's hoping. Ablett and he make a pretty useful pair of goalsneaks.

Steve Johnson shouldn't be ready to return if he withdrew because of a calf injury. Add him to Wojcinski, and that's a bit of pace out of their team. If only they lose another 4 or 5 midfielders to the flu, we might be evenly matched. Thankfully we play them at Telstra Dome and not the MCG.

Why can't this be achieved in the forward line? I reckon when he has played forward this season he's done reasonably well overall. What's the point of going back to the VFL and kicking 3 or 4 goals as a forward and then coming back into defence in the AFL?!

Deluca should be playing up forward not down back.

I agree with the sentiment, Camel. But I would rather see him play against Scarlett. If he can beat him, then he is forgiven and it will help us greatly. If he is flogged by him, then that's the humiliation in front of a packed house he so richly deserves after his self-indulgent behaviour. I think if you asked him after administering some truth serum, Fev would say that he'd prefer to play for the Bullants.

Always rebounded well after thrashings last year (yes we did have thrashings last year so I don't know what's so unusual about today) so expect a greatly improved effort next week. It's also the 10 year celebration of the 95 premiership and we usually lift for things like that. (Even in 95 we had a couple of thrashings).
