Shame, shame, shame.

Not over until it's over, son.

I am tempted to tell you where to insert it.

But I am too much of a gentleman. Most of the time.

Looking at our performances to date, its horrible, but necessary.

Im actually not as upset though as I was in 2002.

at least this year there wont be all that media hype because it was our first wooden spoon...

i remember in 2002 they did this whole page thing on how many wooden spoons each club has had followed by an article of how crap we were....
dont see anything like that this year...or last....so yes, im not as sad this year....

Can we get a wooden spoon with a PP attached to it please. There would be nothing worse than winning the spoon and missing out on the PP. :x

I know at least one poster who will frame it and put it up on his wall.

we will all be $^$$ off when we get the spoon if we get it but next year we will be wrapped with the rewards it could bring us lol and then it will be long forgotten ...... if we got 7 wins say this year next year everyone would be yelling about why we didnt get the 1st or 2nd pick and any PP so then people will be complaining why we didnt get last or second last

i hate the idea of gettin the spoon but we didnt benefit in 2002 so maybe this is the real spoon we had to have and maybe we will get some real benefit and hopefully be able to finally se some positive and hope for 2006 and beyond

I noticed in the HUN tonight that we are the first club that has been left off the bookies lists on odds for the 2005 premiership. Hawthorn is still there, but we arent.

So really, I think the plan at the club right now would include stuff like :

maximise space in salary cap by paying players according to their true worth.

look for a quality uncontracted player that might inject the kind of leadership into the club that has been lacking to date.

a player that has been part of recent premiership successes might be the sort of man we are looking for. its good if leaders can speak with authority from their experiences...

the already known youth policy - no trading 1st round picks. anticipating a finish at or near the bottom.

While winning a spoon wouldnt be happily accepted, it would be seen as part of a bottoming out that we need to get the quality players that we require to move forward.

Got anyone in mind? Wouldn't happen to be a bloke with a brother at the bulldogs?
