As stated by many we do need to bottom out in 2005 our list as we all know is not up to AFL standard we have to many foreign second chancers in the side.. confidence is down everyone in the media writes how our list is really poor. so only one way to go when we get to 2006 but i think we will be better than say the hawks or Tigers are in 2005 i Also think that most of this year and last year are part of bigger plan

So lets look at what positives will emerge out of this year.

We will cut out the players who are all trying for a plce on the list next year. there will be players who are playing for a position on our list this will take out 5 -10 players who will remove some of these lack of team play confidence playing jsut for themselves as we are experiencing at the moment.. Most of you guys want to get rid of some of these i think you will have your wish.. Wouldnt surprise me if Pagan is even telling them Pernder / Bryan one of you will be kept i will play both of you who shows the goods will remain in 2006 the other will cut traded ..
Bentick / Davies / Jono you all playing for a single spot ... this Year i will acess who is best out of you the othere 2 are gone.. We are playing like that so this maybe makes some sense.

Who will come into 2006 if we do bottom out and come last / second last

We will get draft picks 1 / 2 / 18 or 1 / 3 / 18 or 2 / 4 / 19
Theres our Draft injection of talent
We will trade any of our second chancers which have some currency for picks or player types we will need in 2006. Rem one persons garbage maybe anothers prize.
We will have a core of kids who have been playing togther / getting to know each other in the VFL they have been playing in wining teams and also have had a chance to mature learn there craft instead of being belted in the seniors and getting a couple of minutes off the bench
So to add to the Draft we will have a whole lot of extra new recruits
Santanta - will get promoted has improved in leaps and bounds
Russell - improving every week
Raso - was ear marked for 2006 anyway
Hartlett - when he isnt injured
Blackers - was undersize hopefully will be up to it in 2006 i would think he will be added to one of Bentick / Jono / Davies in 2006 for that role
J Smith - looks likey Mid fielder also may get propmoted as well.

Add to that a seasoned guy in PSD ie maybe we can snare a L Power / Broggan / Del Santo or who ever for a mature mid 20's experience player

This gives me something to look forward to all i am doing now is looking to who will grab that position in 2006 then it dosnt hurt me as bad with the result

Cheers think Big picture and 2006 maybe will give some of us some hope

Yep, the ashes tour is fast becoming a farce. Beaten by Bangladesh, and Andrew Symonds suspended after turning up for the game smelling of booze.

If the tour continues in this vein, it'll mean that the sports pages will be filled with tales of woe from England, leaving Carlton's plight relatively unscrutinised.

See - it's all good.
