Many of us think that there needs to be wholesale changes to the list/team for the future and there have been many theories as to how to fix the list/team. We can only wonder what Denis and the MC are thinking, but you can almost guarantee that they are planning for the future now. I thought that I would follow up on the raft of threads devoted to this subject with some possible solutions. If the predictions from my "The List from 2003-2006", "MIA" and "Pago Pago" posts eventuate, then we are going to acquire: at least 1 decent player in the trade period, 1 quality player in the Pre Season Draft, at least 2 ready to play 18 year olds in the National Draft and upgrade a rookie or two as well as blood some of last years draft selections. I really believe that is the way it will all pan out. In fact, I think that about one third of our best side will be made up of players not exposed or even at the club yet. So its time to have a crack at how it might look. We do have some real quality on our list, just not enough depth. NB: New to the side in bold. Backs: Andrew Carrazzo Luke Livingston Chris Bryan Half Backs: Trade Bret Thornton Jordan Russell Centre: Kade Simpson Nick Stevens Andrew Walker Half Forwards: Brad Fisher Jarrad Waite Matthew Lappin Forwards: Jesse Smith Brendan Fevola Lance Whitnall Followers: Barnaby French Anthony Koutoufides PSD 1 Interchange: Adam Hartlett Luke Blackwell Pick 1 Pick 2 Emergencies: Eddie Betts Justin Davies Setanta O’hAilpin Midfield Rotation Options: Anthony Koutoufides Nick Stevens Andrew Walker Kade Simpson Andrew Carrazzo PSD 1 Pick 1 Pick 2 Jesse Smith Jordan Russell Luke Blackwell I reckon that’s a pretty good side. Height, speed, strength and plenty of guts. All ingredients for a successful era. Go through those that I couldn’t squeeze in too. Plenty of depth there. What think you? |

here is my team - it starts by us trading everyone and starting again and my side looks like this from the backline picks 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 Ruck 16 RR 17 Rover 18 interchange Picks 19 20 21 & 22 emergencies picks 23, 24 & 25. Dman fine team that.... In five years we'll be playing off for a flag or we just rteade the lot and start again. swapsies anyone? |

Everyone knows only picks 1 and 2 are any good! We have Campo and Whits. And yes we have late picks too... but theyre not too flash. so i reckon a number 1 pick wouldnt be a bad thing to try to add to Walker. And Jarusa??? This years draft is a shallow draft... so you better pray we get picks 1 and 2.. cos if we dont.... were [REDACTED]!!!!!!!!!! |

If our recruiting team is up to the task they will give the coaching staff something to work with. Whether they are pick 1's or pick 8's it does not matter. The list will be built by drafting and developing youth. |

Picks 1 and picks 8 dont matter??? then how come people try and trade for pick 8??? Ok in the last 5 years give me a list of who picks 1 are and a list of who pick 8 are and then you can choose who youd rather have....
