1AW started on Cooney, moved to Ray then freed up a bit. Took a couple of good grabs and bolted off a couple of times. In top half dozen or so. Sporny is trying to find out the bus number back to Adelaide. Had a shocker. Simmo, best game yet for him. Showed plenty of pace and plenty of willingness to go get the pill. In best half doz also. Bryan, of his three games, this was his second best. Miles better than last week, but not quite as good as his debut. Took a couple of good marks under pressure too. Not only is his kicking long, but can be low and accurate. Predicting a bright future for the Bear. |

Cooney ran rings around Walker, and Ray the same.Big worry that.BUT, Walker to his credit, fought on and showed a bit in the second half.Im a big Sporn fan.But im afraid he had a shocker last night.Surely hes better than that.Playing without his custmary poise and composure.Bryan busted his guts all night.Shaded in ruck contests, but got a bit of the pill around the ground. The most memorable part of the Bears game was his willingness to get to teamates and show faith and encouragement. That sort of thing builds team spirit, which is at a disgustingly all time low. |

BB you missed the game last night? You are the luckiest Carlton supporter in Australia, they were as shit I have seen. Too much left to far too few, but on the up side most of the kids tried real hard. |

Walker was shaded on the night by his opponents but kept trying and thats all I ask.. Trent Sporn....dismal and is finished ...was just a passenger. Bryan..started poorly but got better and even rucked more like a decent ruckman and found his smalls with a couple of good palms...he will always pick up possies because he is that type of player....he has shown enough to remain on the list for next year.. Simpson was ok...he found more of the ball and just needs game time...at least he has good skills and can kick the footy...I think Simpson has a future providing we can get some better personnel on the list to help him out..put him in Adelaides team with Riccuito, Mcleod, Goodwin etc he would probably get 20 possies a week and be better than players like Brent Reilly.... |

Does anyone have a TOG for Bannister...came in for Waite...and I deadset only saw him once at a ball up! Stats say 1kick, 1 HB and 1FA with 3 tackles...was he tagging someone? I must have been going to the loo, or tallying up how many individual goals scoreres the WB had when these stats happened |

Bryan was great, took a top contested mark inside 50, went back and slotted a goal. Tried hard all day, probably beaten a bit in the ruck and spectacularly smothered and dispossessed in the centre, but one of our best on the night. Sinmmo was great, best game I've seen him play, actually pretty hard at it, saw him bust a few tackles and carry the ball. Well worth presevering with. Davies didnt get much time on the ground but layed a few tackles when he was on. I'm not sure if he played well or if he just stood out because nobody else seemed interested. Sporn was woeful. Interestingly, the Hun had Bowyer amongst our best on the night. Do we have another Bowyer that I missed because Glen Bowyer was very ordinary and I am sure they cant have been talking about him. One brave spoil in a marking contest but aside from that.......... |

I must have been going to the loo, or tallying up how many individual goals scoreres the WB had when these stats happened I think I read that Bannister was on for about 60mins or half the game... I know he was on Robert Murphy for a large part of that but yeah didn't see him all that much! |

Walker was put onto murphy and shut him down effectively. Walker is learning a defencive game at the moment which he is doing well. Simpson will be a player needs to spend more time int he gym over the pre season but will no doubt be a player for the future. Carrazo did extremely well and turned opposition players inside out has alot of class about him and is doing well in the midfield. Bryan played another good game and besides his tap work he is a very good selection. His tap work isnt great but he makes up for it around the ground with his foot skills and marking ability, also he i like the way he crashes into other ruckmen. Sporn, Bannister I doubt will be playing again for Carlton i think we should be playing kids like Russell, Fisher, Bentick |

but playing Bannister, Sporn, Bowyer, Clarke, Davies, Prenda and the likes will definately guarantee us the first 2 picks and the first picks in the PSD. |

I'm watching a different game to some of you. Walker played on Cooney until just before half time and restricted him to 6 possessions. Cooney had 27 possessions and kicked 3 goals against Port the week before. Murphy was cutting us up and Walker was placed onto him. Murphy didnt get near it after that. A 19 year old kid played ruck rover then centre half back and shut down 2 of their form players. I'd say he was one of our best. |
