Post subject:  The Three Things I Have Learnt About This Week...
1. A team that has an even spread of nine goal kickers will beat a team with four goal kickers (and one of those was a gimme). Yet we win every important stats across the ground. We have a lazy forward line...

2. To have a player of the calibre of Yarran as a sub for 75% of the game, has to be one of the coaching clangers of the season.

1. We have developed a real ability to choke on a 30 point lead VERY quickly. We did it with Brisbane with them kicking 6 unanswered goals, Richmond (7 goals to 1 in 30 mins), Geelong (9 goals to 1 in 30 mins). We must stop this leaking...

On point 2. I reckon MM has struggled with the sub all year. Can someone recall an effective sub this season?

My 3

1. we do not back ourselves to beat other teams enough - way too many defensive jobs week in week out
2. malthouse still hasnt worked out a gameplan to utilise our players strengths (speed). We got nothing out of armfield, betts, yarran tonight
3. we look a lot better when we play a more attacking game style

The trend with this side is when a side challenges/gets a run on against us, we fall to pieces very quickly.

This has happened in all of our losses so far this season, bar probably the St Kilda game, and also against Brisbane.

This is where the lack of leadership/too many introverts hurts us, no one wants to step up to the plate (except Judd who is no longer the force he once was) when things are going against us.
