Okay guys reality check did you really think that we where gonna beat the Weagles no chance yes we where competative in first half but the Eagles looked rusty. Come second half and the Weagles get back into gear we had no chance.

Reality i say some of you guys just expect to much we are not a class amongst the best teams ie WC. They are a good side yes they where rusty in first half but was only a matter of time.. Be dissapointed that the Blues dropped off so quickly but we are not up to it.

Reality - We are not gonna win to many more this year
Reality - we have very little depth IE Ruck division when French out
Reality - weakest link in the Blues is the Mid Field

Fact - Eagle best mid field in competition
Fact - Cox best ruckman in competiton
Fact - Weagles have a lot of depth in there side can roatate who they want when they want.

Only thing we can do is just watch who will be around to play for us in 2006 and i will keep saying this we need some talent injected in this team ie Draft / Uncontracted player yes that may not fix things up 100% but will give the list a boost and hopefully we will start to fix up some gaping wholes in the list.

WHat we need ... another future main Ruck to take over from French
We prob need 1-2 quality Midfielders either from Draft but better if we can get from some uncontracted player.

Another key Backman and we maybe able to start to plug up some of these gaping holes.
Also we need to start to create some depth which is non existent in this side..
If French had have been playing would have helped us a lot more to be more competative but again lack of depth shines through

Also hopefully we will get some guys who have had a good run in the VFL come in next season like Russell / J Smith / Santanta / Hartlett / Blackers / Raso - But i still like them pklaying in the VFL to get full match time and also to be playing in a wining side to develope.

Reagardless of how the rest of the season goes i still have some hope 2006 will be a damned site better. This season has been gone for 7 rounds and i havnt expected more than what i have seen ... must say the first half was a complete surprise  but then rerality hit back in second half.

So all i do now is to watch who shows something IE Bryan / Walker / Waite ect .

And who dosnt - Prender and others

The Eagles have 10-12 genuine midfielders, we have 4-5.
The Eagles have a very good ruckman, today we had a backup ruckman and a part-time-at-best-ruckman.
The Eagles will in all likelihood have up to 5 All Australians come the end of the year, we'll have zero.

The only two areas where we beat the Eagles is Livo > Glass and Fev > Whoever their FF is.

Year end cant come more quickly i am already looking at next year have been for 6 weeks.

i reckon by round 18 i will have a good idea of who isnt moving on already compiling my list of guys i want to stay and guys who i hope dont put on the Navy Blue ever again  but i will refrain until round 20 or 21.

The biggest dissapointment for me this year is that i thought we had a good Midfiled coming along but this is the biggest problem we have and by a long way..i cant even work out how good or bad the Fwd or back lines are because the midfield is being crushed and i think people have siad it best as soon as we drop our head and loose accountability on opposition we have no hope once our midfiled is beaten the whole side collapses like a deck of Cards.

NO#1 PRIORITY by 2006 FIX UP THE MIDFIELD

WEAGLES dont need a full forward hell there full forward is a midget ... they have there 10 - 12 midfileders and when they dominate they dont even need a genuine Full forward makes our Backs kinda redundant.

Correct let alone the Tall Timber they have who pop up for a quarter at a time and kick a few, each...

So for those out there thinking the Weagles would trade for Lance, You are sooooooooooooooo wrong. Lance wouldn't get a game for them. And i'm not a Red hater either.

I was doing the votes for the MJONC Best and Fairest and by christ it was hard. My system in the 5-4-3-2-1, so here goes:

5. M.Lappin: Simply for effort and commitment.
4. H.Scotland: Played four quarters.
3. C.Bryan: If only he was a few years younger he would be NRS.
2: A.Walker: I would of hated to imagine what Judd played like if Bannister was taggin him. Won his own ball.
1: L.Livingston: Kept Lynch possesion less even during the onslaught under immense pressure. I love you Livo :)

Now, I've debated with myself and come up with the following idea for the rest of the season. I am going to remove votes of the players i deem worst on ground using a 3-2-1 system. Drum rolls please ........

1 Vote: Callum Chambers - Start training for the boston marathon cause AFL is not your go.

2 Votes: Ian Prendergast - Start training with Callum

3 Votes: Anthony Koutoufides - If that is what you call leadership Kouta, its best that you move on and leave the game with the respect a Legend deserves. I cannot continue to watch the Greek God peform like that, it really really really hurts.

Already have for Hurn and Ellis, Power is staying so I sent one to Adam Selwood in preparation for the 2006 draft. :D

agree with synbad, only guy who did something was livo.

fev was alright given the amount of ball delivered to him in the second half and when so the way it was delivered was nothing short of a joke
