Great result for the Bullants reserves today. Unfortunatly, we had to travel to Geelong to take on Coburg?????? (because Geelong don't have a reserves side!)

Hartlett kicked two goals!!!!! Could he get a spot in the seniors next week? (Edit - Senior Reserves i mean.......not quite ready for Carlton side yet!)

O'Haplhin mentioned as 2nd BOG!!!!!!!!!!!! Coming along nicley wouldn't you think?

And A. Raso apparently had a go in the Reserves and grabbed himself a goal too! .......not sure why that would be? Haileybury have a bye this week or something!

Very impressed with Aisakie..............that's 6 weeks in a row that he has been amongst the best on ground! Good on him!

Oh yeah.........final score.........

Northern Bullants 3.2 5.5 9.7 16.13 (109)
Coburg Tigers 3.2 6.4 6.5 9.6 (60)

BEST:
Northern Bullants: Harmes O'Hailpin Mitchell Hooper Williams Maslin

GOALS:
Northern Bullants: Williams 3 Pell 2 Hartlett 2 Maslin 2 Batson 2 Fitzpatrick O'Donohue Raso James Mitchell

Interesting to note...............mind you, i'm getting this info second hand (ie, somebody else at the game) but Raso played mainly at CHB! Not too shabby kicking a goal when your playing most of your footy down the opposite end!

Seriously Blues Fans..............if you get a chance, go down and watch this kid play at Haileybury! Two reasons.......one-your guaranteed a win (they're a good team by the looks of things) and two, Raso is something to get excited about. Maybe not next year, but in years to come he will be a very important player!

School holidays Ryan so games won't start again for another 2 weeks. There's only about 4-5 games left in the APS so he might get a few more games with the Bullants later on in the season

I've said it from the start and I'll say it again...

Anthony Raso = Superstar in the making.

PJ, "Anthony Raso = Superstar in the making". Why? Haven't seen him at all. So, what do you see that's so special?

Now, don't go getting my hopes up...

:D

This is just me jumping on Razz from the get go.
Will have to get down to an Ants game later in the season, but what I have seen so far at training etc, his kicking, marking and especially his goal kicking are pretty spot on for a bloke of his age.

Phoenix your 100% right on this one, he has potential to be superstar material, a good promising get for a pick late ion the draft.

He does! And he will!

The best thing about Raso is that he's got two very important things that alot of our senior players don't have.........................good skills and a hunger to get the ball - regardless of consequences.

I like him playing down back, although there are a few that say he is mainly a forward.

He's also got time on his side to develop.

Smart recruiting by Hughesy.

It's up there with the likes of the Genius John Beveridge and his astute recruiting of Riewoldt at Pick 1 in the 2000 draft.

Spot on there, PJ.

finding a talent like Riewoldt slipped down the order to pick 1 was a top effort

Apparently "Grant Tosspot" was also impressed with Beveridge's astute selection of Goddard at #1 in 2002.

And what an astute judge he was when he selected Luke Ball ahead of Chris Judd. And then Xavier Clarke ahead of Ashley Sampi.

Sorry guys, its now scientifically proven that a player drafted outside the Top 2 cannot be any good.

Gone are the days of anyone drafted in the 70's making any kind of impact....it just can't happen anymore.

No, Raso will not make it, probably be de-listed at the end of the year

That's bad form...

The kid is still playing school footy and has plenty of upside to him.

Then again, what would Beveridge know?
