Good win against undermanned side who worked hard.

Really like our running defence. Kruezer getting better each week. Yarran looked more interested. Everitt showing real promise as a tall mobile forward.

Good to see another kid get a chance and show something. Amazing what happens when given a go. Earnt a full game for next week.

I am concerned about what we are doing with Menzel. If injured why are we playing him because he is struggling. Not doing anyone any good.

We need added real class through the middle and a big key forward but can't question our effort and improvement.

I thought we were ordinary against a struggling team, but lots of positives to take out of this Game, they are:

** Holman looked good and Classy. I hope he stays in and gets few games. Graham is improving slowly and will be better next year

** Everett's last few weeks has been extraordinary. He is been able to kick multiple goals and make a strong contribution on the scoreboard. Never saw that coming!!

** I am unsure if i am seeing the stats sheet correctly, but it says Woods finished with 19 and Krezuer with 19 as well. This is unheard of for two Ruckmen. I liked Woods effort and will to run and compete. This is all we asked of him from day one!!

This match would have been a good opportunity to give a Boekhurst a run.....

Another step in the right direction. Contributions from players that we need to improve as a team. Guys like Docherty, Bell, Everitt, Touhy, Kruezer and even Armfield.

Murphy good again but let himself done with his disposal.

Wood a good tried again. Lets himself down with the execution after doing the hard work getting into space.

Bell had a lot of it. Maybe BOG
Armfield is getting better and is pretty good for a set of steak knives.
Kreuzer is still on the park
Levi is kicking straight. 3-0 tonight to go with 2-0 last week. Best hands in the game says Dermott. If he kicks straight from here on he'll be worth his weight in money.
Murphy another good game and has strung a few good ones together now after a poor start to the season.
Hendo isn't getting a lot of possessions but is making the most of them
Everitt is doing well as the floating high forward.
Cripps came into it in the last. The fact they are already tagging him is a sign of respect.
Graham wasn't as much in it as last week but another solid game
Simmo a general
Yarran worries me. He had a few possies but his foot skills have deserted him.
Rowe solid
White solid
Docherty solid
Ellard didn't do much and based on Holman's short time on the ground may have played his last game for us.
Menzell just a couple of touches and if he is fit isn't performing as well as last year.

All in all, a solid team effort with the tackles up and the skill levels a bit off tonight.
I'll take it.

Bit harsh. Graham had 24 possessions at 83% with 4 clearances. Thought it was his best game.

As for Docherty he was close to BOG for me.

No point in criticizing Ellard as everyone knows what he can produce and he produced it. It's just time to move on unless there is an injury crisis.

Wood is playing Warnock into a delisting.
Levi would be a gun if he could kick straight. Should've had 5 or 6 today

Barker: "I just thought that there were patches throughout the game when we weren't up for the fight."
Barker: "Zach Tuohy was really good. His composure was excellent."
Barker: "Kreuzer has a fair bit of upside. He gives so much effort consistently. He's got a big ticker."
Barker: "Our confidence is growing, but that needs to be tempered."
Barker: "The minute you think that you're going better than you actually are is when you come undone."
Barker: "Menzel could've kept playing, but we'll see what the doctors say when he's cooled down."
Cripps: "I think the tag on Cripps was really good for the Carlton Football Club. It teaches him so many lessons."

well, barker has kinda achieved what ratten, brittain, pagan and malthouse couldn't. four weeks of maximum & committed effort where every guy on the field answered the bell when their number was called.

it was a pretty scrappy game, but we were always in control. it's the exact kind of game in the past we would have lost, when the other team comes out of the gate playing hard and taking the body. we woulda been worried out of it by quarter time.

not today. we won the arm wrestle then continued to hammer to them.
