I've just caught the end of this discussion on 3LO. Apparently Fev made some comment on The Footy Show last night about his 2 week suspenion along the lines of the Match review panel only put the case forward due to the media speculation. Given that I missed the start of the piece on radio just now can anyone shed any further light on what Fev actually said?

Mrs camel heard the whole interview and is of the feeling that Schwab is misinterpreting Fevola's comments. Parkin also made a point that sometimes players are coaxed into saying something in order to suit a third party's agenda.

Thoughts?

What Fev said last night was that Schwab had told him in an interview that the match review panel strongly considered not putting his gouging case up. This was exactly what Schwab did say as I remember listening to it before the Hawthorn game.

Fev then insinuated (hope i spelt that right) that the media beat up was the main reason he got suspended but as we know he doesn't speak all that well and the more he spoke the worse he sounded. Basically this is a bit of a fuss about not much. More confusion than anything.

Cheers for that.

Schwab was suggesting on radio just then that he would like Fevola to offer a heartfelt apology on next week's show. I think they're going to talk about it again at half time in tonight's game.

What did Fevola say that needed an apology though? Has he cleared up anything that Fev said that was incorrect?

What a beat up by Schwab.

Not sure what Schwab is on about. I heard the interview before the Hawks game as well and Fev merely repeated what schwab said which was basically 'we did not think you would get any weeks, but we put you up because of the media pressure'.

Schwab is making a song and dance about nothing. I too heard the interview before the Hawks game and Fev didn't say anything that wasn't said on air then.

I saw the Footy Show last night and what happened was that Chairman Eddie was going right off about Didak getting 2 weeks for something that he said was worth a free kick. He replayed the incident and bagged the Tribunal. Then Fev got into the act and as Jar said ..." Fev merely repeated what schwab said which was basically 'we did not think you would get any weeks, but we put you up because of the media pressure'. " And that was it.

Whats with failed coaches being employed by the AFL in roles that they are clearly incompetent to perform, first Gieschen now Schwab.

Agro, its the same everywhere. Good people hire good people, wankers hire wankers so they don't get shown up.

What a tool.

My word some people in the afl are precious these days.

Seems everyone is running to a lawyer and demanding apologies these days.

I'd suggest Mr. Schwab builds a bridge and gets over it.

I agree that Fevola should apologise.
"I'm sorry you're such a whining bitch Peter".

If I was Scwabbs spinner I'd suggest it has merely exposed his conflict of being on the match review panel? and being a media commentator.

Time to make a decision Pete, deal or no deal?
