which isn't very often... and those times he does look good with it, must be the rare occassions he doesn't let go with a rush and sloppy mongrul punt. |

I don't think you've quite grasped the concept of the positive thread. |

Carrazzo was our best, thought that Simpson was decent and Lappin whilst not great wasn't too bad. But there wasn't too much to get excited about today... Walker was beaten early by Lenny Hayes but at least with Walker he goes for four quarters, was still running at the end and I reckon that's a positive. |

I thought that people in defence like Livo, Teague and TBird tried hard. You can't do much when the opposition can run / kick the ball unhindered into your 50 M every 20 secs or so... Actually looks like Teague is over his form slump. |

Jorden got 2 kicks which was 2 more than another high profile player... |

Simmo and Carrazzo. Simmo belongs at this level and is starting to believe he does. Predergast played his best game of the year, never stopped trying. Lappin tried as always. Hartlett got another run in the Bullants reserves. Fisher will be back next week in Navy Blue. Other positives were Reiwoldt, Hamill not playing, otherwise we would of lost by more. |

Simpson playing AFL like he plays VFL. Russell had 2 kicks and hit 2 targets. Teague and Bowyer in the backline. Bryan and Prenda tried. |

Livo did OK given the treatment he was getting from the umpires (contrast with Max at the other end in the first few mins of the match). Teague was back to his fearless self. |

Livo was good in the first half and was then absolutely crucified by that decision just before half time to pay a free kick to Gehrig about 10 metres out for holding when there was nothing in it at all. After that he seemed to struggle a bit. |

Not to mention the headlock Gehrig had him in when Kosi floated across for the mark in the 2nd(?) quarter. For the most part he matched him for strength which is a good sign for the future. |

Thought that Prenda tried his guts out all day ( I have read other people on this forum call for his head but I reckon he is still usefull) Carazzo and Teague were probably our most consistant all game, and actually liked Bowyers effort in an under sieged back half. Thornton and Livo tried hard but were just constantly bombarded ( where the hell was the mid-field pressure ) Simpson showed to me that he must be played for the rest of the year ( the guy has some toe and disposal is clean ) The reason we are getting absolutely flogged lately is our senior players, Campo, Red, Stevens, Scotland, Fev and even Kouta have been terrible for the last month and we are being cut to pieces in the midfield. Bryan is the only guy in the guts who can be satisfied with his efforts in the last 4 weeks ( and really he's not even a 1st string ruckman..but at least he has a go ) C'mon Dennis play the kids for the rest of the year and send a message to some of our senior players by sending some back to ants for a week . |

Simpson Carazzo Camporeale I thought Campo tried. I was at the game and he tried to keep Dal Santo quiet, Dal Santo was nowhere near as effective as he usually is. Prenda tried, Bowyer I disagree with, he dropped some crucial marks at the beginning which resulted in at least 1 goal. The umpires are helping us to a priority pick - atrocious they were. |
