while the slow and timid
get quality time.

Babooshka dolls

Carlton is a babooshka doll.
Unscrew lance and inside
in a champion CHF
unscrew Kouta
and two good knees remember
feats not yet fully told
unscrew campo
and you win a trip to the snow
unscrew wiggo and you get
nothing - wiggo’s hollow

this team is a babooshka team
inside the lazy dead exterior
beats the team of champions
well okay first doll is the weak tacklers
then comes the I want bigger contracts
followed by not enough options doll
and we are all z graders doll
then we have the Im really a CHF doll
and a why did I ever come to this club doll
but then, then,
yes its tiny I know,
more speck than a doll
but then if you look really close
maybe use a magnifying glass
then you get to that champion team
almost.


Dickins of a time!

We are living in the worst of times
having come through the best of times
this is a tale of two teams

two clubs that are a single club

and the rabble we’ve become.

As Ive said before, we come back when people dont expect us to come back.

It might seem impossible at the moment, but I do truly believe that we will come good and it will be sooner rather than later.

I am (a very fit) 47 now, and I think we will be in the finals before I am 50 - 2008. Could even achieve something special before I turn 50.

(Note that I turn 50 some time after the 2008 GF).

The rebuilding after the 2005 season has ended will be crucial in this regard.

Im not all that fussed about a spoon in 2005. If anything, a spoon now will make the glory to come all the more sweet when it does. (Actually, If I was a St Kilda supporter, I wouldnt want to be bagging us too much while we are down, It might prove to be very embarrassing later on.)

I just want us to put as many building blocks in place at the end of this year that we can, and also make a good job of our recruiting for once.

The hardest part for me in all this is waiting for the end of the home and away season for 2005 and hoping and wishing for good enough draft picks this year.

The final round in 2005 cant come quickly enough for me. I know and trust that we will come back in a big way and I cant wait for this to happen.

Believe me my friends, when we do triumph, tears of joy will well in your eyes and roll down your true blue cheeks, but others will be most unhappy while we bask in our newfound glory.
