I realise I will probably shot down for suggesting this, but what the hell !
I mean lets look at he facts, our midfield is screaming out for in and under players to feed Campo and Stevens.
Johnson cant seem to run out a full game which puts too much pressure on Kouta, and we all know that he has really struggled the last few weeks.
Bentick seems out of favour with Dennis.
I realise that the pup was not going to be a long term prospect, but was surprised that he didnt get a one year extension especially considering our aging midfield and the fact that our future midfielders were so young.
Anyway, load up and fire away.

bang.

Another slow midfielder with poor disposal.

Not exactly top of our wishlist at the moment.

But I did love the pup. The game just got past him and the injuries robbed him of any pace he once had.

Of course...

Captaincy material. I guess at the least he would fire up the end of season trip with a couple of right hooks... He's sunning himself up in QLD at the moment though, something tells me we couldnt get him away from the fishing and sun to run around with our talented outfit.

RIP PUP, but i've moved on... the woof is back

Bloody oath we should of. Maybe small but who else in our team has the courage to stand up for himself and take on Micky Martyn head on?

Short memories the lot of you. Last year, pre TC, on TBV there were folks baying for the Pup's blood. There was almost a virtual effigy burning of the pup. The general consensus was that he was crap and should go.......and he did!!!

Now, after half a season of retirement some are thinking he might have been the missing link for us??? Give me a break, take the pain and train a new kid.

Thanks for the memories pup but your time was up mate!

Well, he hasn't played a bad game this season

I loved the Pup, more for his attitude than his ability.

Whats really scary is that if he was on the list - he would be the toughest guy we have.

No denying the bloke was pretty shithouse, but gee havent we moved up in the ranks by training up a new kid like Johnson. Id rather have Pup block Bentick than Jono.

Pup had a huge heart and bled for the jumper on many occasions. That is one of the qualities we appear to lack at present and it would be great for our kiddies to look upon Humey as a role model in that regard. However as already stated, the game had gone past him.
Unless he was simply prepared to take on a leadership role with the Ants he would be taking up the spot of a potential long term player.
Regards Pedro.

Agree with you BV. Shows how far we've fallen when there are calls to get Hulmey back... Who's next? Franchina, Plunkett, McCormick?

Not all of TBV were baying for his blood. I wanted him to stay and be captain. Could be proven wrong, I'll double check.

Yup. I loved the Pup and was shattered to see him go. Agree though that the game had passed him by.

Would kill to see another of his ilk come along and stand up to blokes.
