Post subject:  Sunday, high of 12º & showers - Why we have a chance.

Our problem this season has been lack of possession which leads to lack of marks, which leads to lack of goals, etc. And against teams which have good midfields like the Eagles, we get smashed. This week its Freo, who need to win if they want any chance of finals footy, and they also have a great midfield. The rain may even the playing field, and players like betts and simpson can use the wet conditions to score crumbing goals in our forward line. This week the Pagans paddock may just work for us. Plus the fact the farmer isnt playing also leaves them one quality crumbing forward down.

Thoughts?¿

If on Sunday you see a guy wearing a Carlton membership cap and a Fremantle jumper, that's me.

And if the police take me in for questioning regarding fan stalking text messages sent to Marc Murphy, I claim complete innocence and blame it on Warney.

Its Fremantle, and they have Medhurst, I do the same thing with Medhurst that I do with Russell Robertson when we play Melbourne I put 4 marks (l,l,l,l) next to his name and then work from there.

The weather will help us. In fact any game played in open conditions is bound to give us some help. No doubt the shift of home games to Telstra Dome (regardless of the financial merits of the decision) has disadvantaged our results in the short term. Telstra Dome favours quick, skilful teams with marking strength. By comparison OO or the MCG on a cold winter's day will favour those who can win the ball in close and who play direct footy.

None of this guarantees a win, of course! :)

Indeed the weather will help the blues rise to a win. I hope it pours. The last time I saw Freo play in the rain.......they sank like an anchor.
