Just heard the headline.
All about CFC letting Whits Lappo and Campo go!

Got all the elements of a best seller... If we did we would be in better shape than we are now!

Get kids that want to play rather than guys who want the prestige and money.

Still hearing a whisper about Stevo too and very interesting that on the couch they spoke of a story about Fev signing so that we can let him go too!

Well, if this year's draft is ordinary, and next year's draft is a ripper, then it's nice to have some currency to trade for early picks next year, isn't it?

Yep heard that too but i think Stevo will remain as will Fev but i guess there is uncertainty with Whits / Lappin / Campo ..... and god i would hate if one of Whits or Lappin went to the Hawks for nothing via the PSD if they went last...... think of the outcry if one of them went for nothing.

Will look forward to seeing the article tomorrow

The days when blokes like that are 'blackmailing' the club are over.
The club needs to start again.. no matter how good BB2005 thinks our list is...

We need to trade and draft well... that means the good players...
(Murphy for starters)

Campo doesnt want to sign because he believes he is worth a SHITLOAD of money...
Lance would prefer to play elsewhere next year and start again...
Lappin wants 3 years or bust....

well it might be bust for him...

Personally id tell him each week that goes by and he doesnt sign he loses 10k from each of his two year offers... and he better not ask for them back!!!!

EDIT: Opps thought it was a joke.

What ever happens I think Stevens and Fevola will still be a blue next year, but hopefully if we get rid of Campo, Whitnall and Lappin then we get decent compensation.

Lappin and Campo will be worth nothing next year.
Whitnall and the club in my opinion think its best if they went their own ways.

Ill give it to Lance.. he is trying... !!!!

But he has to eh???

Personally i think Stevo prob just had enough of this year and i think if Campo and some other dissapperaed we would see a better Stevo next year. I havnt heard he wants out but if that happened it would be a mjor blow and i am not judging his form for the past 4 weeks he had a great year last year and early this year but with the team collapsing so has his form.

Maher stated that a highly thought of midfielder who missed success wanted out!

Stevo missed a premiership! and won a Wiz cup!

If he wants out, that is not a good thing.

That's where your wrong!

We should look for guys who want In

not

try to hang on to guys who want out!

The latter breeds a virus similar to the one that we are still trying to rid ourselves of

If he wants out he should be allowed to go.
I hear theres a push to make him captain.
I also hear he also has a 3 year contract not 4.. that means he is out of contract next year.

I would say he wants out as he has to play with the likes of Campo, Lance, Kouta, Lappin, etc.

One they're gone he'll be a hell of a lot happier, and might even lead the club in the RIGHT direction.

Stevens has already changed clubs with much controversy. If he asks to be moved again, he'll look like a mercenary. Doubt he'll go. Look back at all the guys who move early in their career. They rarely move again when still required by their club.
Buckley, Rocca, S Grant, J White, etc

Gerard Healy made a very acute assessment of the Carlton leader's performances on Sunday, one which I shared. ie. it wouldn't have made one iota of difference if they were out there or not. Got the same vibe off three of them at last Friday's training as well. We need a managed overhaul over the next two years and most big names will go. It's a slow boat.

Denis was questioned about trading Fev if he doesn't improve, his response? Who knows? But signing him up is a bonus if either decides party they've had enough as he can't walk, and next year's draft will be a great one to trade into.
Lance and Fev could possibly be spoken about as the equivalent of the Hall/Everitt trades, which gave the Saints Dal Santo and the 6th pick in the 2002 draft.

We need a Carlton of 'no names' that want to be a part of something new.

As far as many footy people are concerned, the players we see in the Bullants doing well form a big part of our 'No Name' future, but unfortunately, we need some 'known hames' to go so we can let some more A grade but still very much generic / home brand 'no names' to come on board.
