At least we can laugh right?

Here I'll start ...

When Charlie and Owies both left the ball to each other resulting in neither player taking the mark. That was comedy gold.

That will be on high rotation across the football shows this week, that footage.

Cringe.

Harry and Tom getting in each other's way was another gem

I turned off when H tried that around the corner from about 30 and had it touched on line/hit post.
So either that, or a few mins earlier, Weiters between wing and half back tried to to chip the ball so a teammate about 15m away and kicked it over his head and it rolled out of bounds.

Got to be those half dozen grubber kicks.
Just brilliant.

Lewis Young missing his foot
Lewis Young getting caught

TDK constantly hands in the back yelling speccy and dropping the ball.

Cripps missing every target.

The early game strategy of kicking running goals from 60 to 70 meters. How about we kick one from 25 before we try this tactic

The funniest moment occurred before the first bounce
It was when two of the most pathetic clubs of this century put their combined 32 premiership cups in the middle of the MCG
As if it was some show of power
Club is always looking through the rear view mirror at what once was because what now and the past 20 years have been embarrassing
How about we focus on the future and get serious about making finals, win finals and winning a flag
Kind of like hawthorn, Geelong, Sydney, Collingwood have done over the past 20 years
Those clubs must have been laughing their heads off seeing such ridiculous scenes pre game

Couldn't agree more.

I get it that the club has a proud history, but that proud history is now impacting negatively our present and future.

The display of our 16 premiership cups as soon as you walk in the front door at Ikon Park is another example of this. Our players see them every time they walk into training during the week. The club should hang a black sheet over them during the 23/24 pre-season and only remove the sheet when we next make finals. Send a message that the current playing group have achieved nothing, nothing at all.

I thought that was a bit odd too.
Carlton also had the cups on display outside the ground and you could line up to get a photo with Wayne Johnson.

We are so far off it as a club.

28 years since our last flag is an entire generation and then some.

Yet we celebrate the past like it means something?

A 28 year old poor soul whose parents signed them up has seen pretty much nothing but shit.

That 28 year old could have a 10 year old or so…..why would that kid care about the past or sit through the bullshit we continually dish up?

So now we’re touching 2 generations….

Bring out the cups !!! That will get everyone excited.

My 14 and 10 year olds left the room early in the 3rd and said they don’t want to waste time watching this again. They went and wasted time on video games.

Society now is full of instant gratification and the now. What are you doing for me now. What’s in it for me. That may annoy and frustrate the older generation but it is what it is.

A lot of youth today look at the past with disdain and apathy if anything.

Bring out the cups!!

I’m in my 40s and I couldn’t give a @#$%&! about the cups. I saw 1 and even then at that time I wasn’t really a rusted on supporter.

So I’ve seen a lifetime of shit.

My kids have

My kids could be having kids in a few years.

Next year we will probably sack another coach.

We have no second or third round picks to top up with talent

So …. We trade and rebuild again?

And we are off on another 5-8 year rebuild and another generation of losers.

It’s actually frightening how much of a predicament we are in.

But bring out the cups !!

The cups were hilarious… but, at least we didn’t have one on a plinth.

I don't have a problem with the 32 premiership cup display

Both clubs are trying to make Sunday night Kings birthday an annual marque game and 84k turned up

...and they all laughed at Carlton's comical on field display

Yes it is.

Stop bringing out "the Cups" until we win our next one
