Play like we did today, and we may be a chance.

Go Blues!

Biggest test of the Year. Shorter turn around

Hewett for Kennedy seems obvious
McGovern will be close. Marchbank could be option

If TDK is fit he comes in for Young.

I’m keen for Binns but no one deserves to be dropped

Play like today and we are a real chance

We can beat Port. If we are a good team we can win.

We have been a chance against port, even before Judd days, whether its their or our home ground.
Nice that its at home. Makes a HUGE difference. HUGE.

Blue boys have clicked. They get each other. Confidence to leave their man to defend or to provide offence.
Everyone is a ruck man. May the tallest man win...then leave it to the mids. A bit like the Cats have been post Ottens. circa 2012

They've gotta lose at some point.

Gov copped a bad cork.
Looked really bad to me...from Weiters...like full robot collision.
Weiters took the mark and the man; pity he was ours

and by the way I like that team.
Not sure about Carroll, but fk he looks like a natural footballer.....really reminds me of Blakey (the old man, not the Swan), but smoother.
I know you poick them well Farmer...Binns, Kemp, now Carroll (again).
You and london are of the same cloth going off your early picks, I mean ... cloth, fabric....trust me, you don't want to be like london, unless you want to be single, independent, fit self employed Carlton fan.

I always like the insurance of height in the backline against Ports giants, hence feel a need for Young's height.

Same old for mine , suffocate 'em between the arcs . Ferocity piled on ferocity will do the trick . We aint a pretty side , picture perfect football is not our way . We have pretty much become a british bulldog scrappy mauling sort of team . It suits our big midfield . Keep the ball inside tight and apply the choke hold Port and they will crumble . No where to hide at the Dome .

I like our defence now it’s more mobile. Weitering the big bloke and McGovern & Kemp the athletic talls. If McGovern doesn’t get up I’d play Marchbank if he’s fit

As for Carroll been good last two weeks and I like mids as subs. I don’t want Ed as he is to slow and I don’t want to see Binns debut as a sub. The other option may be Motlop?

All We want for this Game is Effort & Pressure like today....If we lose, then so be it.

Best Positive for this Game is that We play West Coast the following Week, so even if we lose, we will still be in the hunt for the 8th

If we repeat what we did today we will comfortably beat Port at Marvel.

We gave Freo nothing, we held our defensive shape and setup perfectly all game. They had no way through.

We will make Marvel look tiny for Port if we can do that again.

JUST GIVE US THE CUP !

Hewett does seem obvious, but what we lose with Kennedy is the forward thrust.

What George brings is on the other side of the ball & Port have got too much pace inside for him to be at his best. Carroll is closer to like-for-like, but Hollands is most likely & Acres or even Kemp can be an extra big on the inside if needed.

Regardless of what happens with McGovern or the rucks, there’s no chance Young is left out with Dixon, Marshall & Finlayson to defend.
