Biggest lesson. We looked our best and most dangerous when we through the game plan out the door.

Great game Frankie.

Good start... shit middle... fantastic finish

Really liked the quick ball movement in the last... maybe the players are capable... maybe Austin is a genius

But fmd Fog... the great deflater... twice

There was a little period there were it was no Fog no Carlton.
Marks the ball within 30 and now he sh1ts himself.

Where was that last 40 minutes all year. We saw run, carry, pressure, good use, for most part anyway. Threw the game plan out the door and went for it.

If only Ollie could use the ball. Bloke tries so damn hard. 30 touches, worked really hard but some of the ball use killed us.

Before you all cream your jocks over the run & gun, wait & see what shows up in the first quarter next week.

If they’re not working on basic skills, you can bet your balls they’re not working on the recovery.

There was a bit to like.
Frankie wants to play next year and gave it his all
Lord having 24 and keeping Anderson to 19.
Harry is busting his arse
Ollie is busting his arse
Acres was better
HOK showed promise
Cripps was good.
Motflop last quarter
Durdin was good when he came on
They took the game on
We gave them a fright their last 2 games were 83 and 66 point wins

The stuff we don't like
Fog missing set shots
Umpires crucified Harry
We kicked 5 goals 5 in the last
Fog miss
Moir should have kicked that snap
Williams should have been better
Durdin unlucky to hit inside of post.
Wilson is miles off it
Young does 1 thing good 3 things bad
TDK is not the same player he was
Haynes was beaten all night
Saad coughing up 2 goals
Allow to many uncontested marks.

Still missing 8 to 9 of our best if only 4 play we could have been a chance

Agree with you.
We saw glimpses of what we could look like and it is better than that slow movement plan we have been playing.
I love Ollie, tries his guts out but has to get those turnovers out of his game.
What can I say about Fogarty.
When he was lining up in the 3rd quarter I said he would miss. I got told I mozzed him. Had no confidence he would kick that one in the last. Killed any momentum when he missed.
We had a crack, it was a shame we went missing for two quarters.

Poor Fog. Just kicked his AFL career away. Can't keep blokes like him on our list.

Goldie are going to give plenty of cheek come September . They are a genuine top four side . We really had no right to be in the game . Never thought I'd be happy with an honourable loss but I definitely was . Although we were outclassed we had a go . And kids showed a bit . Good effort boys .

The last quarter was fun, but we put ourselves in far too big a hole.

Enough said about Fog. Just a momentum killer.

Speaking of which, the umpiring was putrid. They managed to find kicks at crucial times all night for the Nepo Babies.

Cooper Lord was excellent. As was Frankie Evans. Harry tried hard but was shafted all night. Sure as hell played under different rules to the Suns. Cripps tried hard too, as did Ollie.

Shame a few others couldn't come along.

Really haven't seen a lot from Billy to suggest he's going to be a player. Likewise Flynn Young. I'd rather see Cincotta getting a game TBH

You name 9 best 22 players. There’s actually another 6 missing, such as Kemp, who also impact the quality of of the depth we have to cover injuries.

We are covering our best 9, and 5 depth players with players 35, 36, 37, 38…of our 46 players on our list. Think about it.

No team has won a game this year with 15 out. None. Who in their right mind would expect Carlton to do so. We lost by 3 goals. 9 of their behinds were rushed by our depth players, and the media and I acknowledge we were on the wrong end of the umpiring today. Soooo obvious.

Have to look at how we did with the 23 we had available before worrying about the result.

Half a dozen of the players today, might not even be on the list next year. The boys did well.

Lord Cowan and Hollands for eg are still baby blues. They did well. They will improve too.

Great to see this young team kick 6 of their last 7 goals.

Umpires were a disgrace, again.
