We are a much better team than we have shown all year. What a wasted year.

Walshy was amazing, no cobwebs needed to blown out there

Harry on fire and Hewitt just accumulating disposals nicely

I enjoyed that win a lot

Pros:

Smashed them at clearances.
Accuracy, especially in the 1st half.
Hewett, Harry, Walsh, TDK, Oli. Lord's 1st half.
Best game I've seen from Motlop. Excellent around stoppages, good goal assists. Looks like he's still nervous about taking shots at goal.
Cripps, Williams, Evans and Haynes pretty good as well.
O'Keeffe encouraging. Wilson's 2nd half too.

Cons:

Low pressure game.
Looked vulnerable defensively when the opposition had it in space.
Weiters intercepted well, but he's been very loose the last few weeks on leading forwards.
Saad was loose and quiet.
Carroll seemed a step off in the 1st half.

One of our starting 23 returns and we put on a clinic.
Would have been nice to see at least 3 to 4 being available every week
Walsh was sensational.
Great game Harry
Lost our shut-down man late in 3rd gave them a bit of freedom.
It would have been nice to completely bury them but will take that margin any time

Saw Haynes actively looking to feed Billy Wilson for the cheap run around handball a couple times today. Bringing youngsters into the game and giving them confidence - what a breath of fresh air. You don't need to get it 30 times a game to be a leader.

Just gotta tidy up the dumb stuff.

1st Quarter. 6 - 0 up and HOK misses the sitter. Bang - straight to the other end goal.
Lord in the middle of the ground fails to give the hand ball to George who was clear and free. Lord's poor kick turns it over, bang, goal.
Flynn Young had the perfect hit up on HOK on his left boot. Poor kick, bang, sits on his head and Port rush it away.

Should have been 8 - 1 in the first.

So much to like, but no wonder we are #18 in the Comp for hitting targets inside F50.

And why oh why do we burst through the middle and instead of hitting up 20 out directly infront, we just go wide to the boundary. Put @#$%ing pressure on the defenders for goodness sake. :banghead: :banghead: Weiter's kick that Frankie marked was centimeter perfect.

And how many times did we leave the centre corridor open for them to run through. :hitcomputer: :hitcomputer:

A 9 goal victory that should have been 15.

Well done to Harry.
George was simply amazing
Walsh was trying to make up for lost time.

A much needed win and confidence boost for all.

Geez it was great to get a win . What Heav's said re : Hayes . He really is such a top bloke . What a difference it makes when you have a couple go guns in Harry and Sammy in the side and firing . How the bloody hell does Sam play like that after such a long lay off ? he didn't appear fatigued in the slightest . What a star . Cripps was mammoth . And the youngsters showed a bit .
PS ................ what our new CEO said . We are not looking to get rid of good players we are looking to add good players . Thank fruck Wright isn't the slash and burn maniacal toe cutter a lot were looking for . He's the cool calm and collected type who just happens to have a clue .

Whether you are for or against Vossy, every week I watch his press conference and most weeks I watch Ross Lyon.

We got the right guy for the Club. I think he is honest, professional and tries to explain things without ever denigrating any questions.

I would struggle to support Carlton if we had got Lyon. He and SOS are besties and I can always see why. Birds of a feather.

We're actually miles off it and the proof was in the pudding. Today's game had about as much bearing as a pre-season hitout.

I only watch last quarter and a half.
The kids were playing well.
That kick from Crippa into F50 was sublime.
Walsh looks like he was in great form, until he was in front of goals.
HOK is still a long way off AFL for me.
His kicking was pretty poor and he kept dropping marks.
Decent win though, well done.
Clearly Voss has NOT lost the players as suggested a few weeks ago, just as much as some players are playing for their careers.
1 more game to go and time to get onto adding to the list.

I had a very enjoyable day at the footy.
Looks like the old game plan has been thrown away and we are playing with more freedom and moving the ball much faster.
So good to have Walsh back, I think I had forgotten how good he is.
Well done to Harry. It is great to see the young players who are showing a bit. One of the positives from the year and our injuries has been the youngsters getting a go and growing in confidence.
I think I read that Lord was concussed, I was wondering why he went off. He is a ripper.
Just want Collingwood to lose now and top off a good day.

That was like a watered down practice game
Best thing was the kids
No McGovern
No Fantasia
Won’t go through them all but they all can be good players
Interesting month ahead with what Wright does
Some of the Portly port players would fail the skin fold test
Interesting to see Cazzeman here when we win
Mate as Doc said we still are a way off

Yeah I had some spare time so went to a local hotel to watch game and after 15 mins of bottom of the ladder crapola felt guilty, went home to do housework and listened on radio. Nice to win but yeah
