The usual story.

Dominated much of the first half but the scoreboard did not reflect it.

A bits and pieces, dodgy forward line.

The likes of Reidy and Kemp holding down the key posts.

Lack of pace and skill in the midfield another factor - Swans mids kicking goals.

Warner, Gulden and Heeney using their pace to burst away from the generally one paced Carlton midfield.

Our new Recruits in Hayward, Ainsworth & Florent all had decent Games YET we are still no Good and nothing has changed!

Moir & Kemp : I am sorry but you are useless and lazy ball watchers. Can't believe people seriously thought those two will cover Charlie's departure.

Reidy: Has given us nothing. Has done nothing... I told you from day one he is not AFL standard. Wait until Pitto goes down which will be soon.

Chesser: Rubbish... went missing when it mattered.

Looks like we got cheated on again with all this Fake Hype, change & Excitement...

Usual story on steroids in that third qtr.

Back to being the laughing stock (until something else funny happens).

Oh and get [REDACTED] Charles you downhill skier.

looking forward to all the simplistic solutions being offered up.

sack the coach. trade the captain. drop worst 10 offenders to the twos. burn our membership cards in the Ikon Park car park tomorrow.

Something seriously wrong with the centre bounce setups...the third quarter....where was the protection out the front?

Yep..............totally exposed.
The only positive is Dean, Lord and Smith.
And surely it can't get much worse than that.

It’s one game against a good team at home. Hopefully the coaching staff can figure out what caused the turnaround and can fix it

Had no expectations of winning this game... just hoped to be competitive.

What we got was, another entry on the embarrassing loss list under Voss.

12 goals in that 3rd qtr... an 85 point turnaround by the final siren.

There were some good signs in the first half. Jagga will be a star, was a level above (for both sides) early on when players struggled with humidity. Dean looked classy and composed. Ainsworth showed good awareness and a classy long goal. Hayward and Florent played their roles.

But obviously we need to find the answer to our midfield defence. That was sickening the way their star quartet (no, it doesn't include their new forward) took the piss in the second half. Cripps and Hewett in the same midfield is a problem, always has been - they run like glaciers (pre global warming). Walsh and Jagga have the speed, EH can run all day, but none of them have any defensive game. I hoped Florent might see more time in the middle. I thought Lord might be a key piece of the puzzle but he's still a pup. Who else can help? How much of it is coaching? Swans didn't even have to spread wide, they just ran through the middle and we couldn't get close.

chesser was shit last week too. and moir???? what a potato that kid is. kemp is a classic utility in the jsos mould, but in modern footy they are superfluous. he is a third tall at best, but i cant see a future for him at carlton

reidy did alright, he will come good

What to do with Cripps??????

Can pinch hit in the middle but cant spend too much time in there.

He's no forward, his marking is average and he's a crap kick for goal.

The game has gone past him, it's all about pace.

J McInerney 3.1
Gulden 0.2
Heeney 2.0
C Warner 1.3
Sheldrick 1.0

Look at how many opportunities their mids had!

Terrible. We always suck at this shithole of a venue, but we reached new lows tonight in that 3rd quarter.

At least the bubble is burst early. We are bottom 5 this year. I had hoped that we'd be somewhere around the middle, but we're not even close. The forward line is a shambles. The midfield is pedestrian. The backline hasn't got a prayer with the way odds going to come in from any half decent side.

Then there is the general skill level and ball handling. We are so far away from it, you just don't know where to begin.

Even though deep down, I suspected, I'm still gutted.

i for one am still glad the sook is gone. he wont win anything at sydney, even a part time forward did better than him. sydney are an injury to gulden away from shit. warner is a bigger front runner than curnow, and if he is the main man will crumble

Sydney were always going to come back hard & Win the Game after half time, but that 3rd Quarter effort from us proves that we have done NOTHING in pre-season.

Same Fade outs, Same skill errors and Same poor Fitness. Any other team will also slaughter us after half time!

Anyone that says we didn't miss Charlie are kidding themselves. We are destined to be a 6-8 Goals a Game team... Its beyond embarrassing...

I just feel sorry for so many of our die hard fans.. They fell for it yet again... got cheated on.... We never learn....

This year is a year of transition
I would like to think that Davies and Wright will recognize this
Coach players whatever
The fact that Florent got a five year deal is a concern
Another over inflated contract
When the kids are available plsy them
Cripps was a liability last year
Doesn’t get a clearance he is useless
McGovernnWilliams L Young gone
But guess what still
Out there showing zero leadership
Why are they still there
I can see it

So the bullshit they’re talking about the third greatest quarter of all time turns out to have a graphic below saying “since 1999”.
