Bentick out of middle to the creative carrazzo handball to quick and long striding simpson big left foot to waite in the forward line - absolutely magnificent
Great effort by young guys today - what about those contested marks by fisher and waite - goals from waite and fisher - hard running both with and without the ball simpson - carrazzo continuing to baulk turn and extract himself from tackles and bentick hard in the middle getting the ball out
Lesser roles today by betts and livo but nevertheless good solid contributors and perhaps our best 2 young players thorton and walker not playing
Need more talent and Tigers undermanned but the young guys continue to improve
Moreover much better hitting targets today by the young guys and no panic with the ball

Great minds think alike frankie, I too was going to title a thread similar to this. While Kouta and Campo played probably their best games for some time, it was our kids that got us over the line today.

How fierce is Simpson's tackling. How precise is Stevens' passing. How strong is Fisher's marking. Imagine the brute strength of Waite when his body gets stronger. Imagine Bentick playing like this week in, week out. Imagine Fevola having a quiet day and still kicking four.

Today we were given hope.

We were a team today. Fev lead away from the ball and opened things up for others. The hard ball was won and fed off to Stevens and Scotland who cut Richmond to bits. Lance was third man up down back and punching clear.
A team. Made me proud today. Everyone doing something. Could see the players really enjoying it. It really helps when you kick straight early on. Gives so much confidence.

for tommi

open your hand
stare into the palm
and imagine that hand
belongs to someone else
is connected to an arm
not as strong as yours
to a shoulder with a nicer curve
to a body of satin flesh
to a face that smiles
and kisses
and brings you undone with hope
like a knife in your heart
and then remember the pleasure that hand
has granted you over the years
and multiply it a hundredfold 8)

thats the future tommi

go for it!

oh and there there is the bit with the other hands
little hands connected to little heads
who bring meaning and pleasure
is a whole different, clasping sort of way. 8)
