gee sour puss - go back to bed until Tuesday! ![]() truth is I didn't think campo had an influence at all. Even Kouta and lance, while terriffic were not the sparks. the sparks that ignitied the rabble were Carrots Fish Waitey Simmo & AB. thats my story and I'm sticking to it! |

Dont get too far ahead of yourself. People are just enjoying a win where the team played well and showed the committment we have all been craving. Nobody here thinks that the flag is in the bag. Just doing what football fans are supposed to do. so take your reality check and shove it up your ar.e |

Ah dannyboy, Campo was more like the icing (in that he actually looked like he wanted to do some hard work), but I do think Kouta and Lance were main ingredients of cake. ![]() The difference this week is that those young kids had some help from more of their older mates. |

I think the bigger reality check has plonked itself down at Tigerland. |

This game reminded me a bit of the 9 goal first quarter against the Doggies in 2002 ... I was away and only got score updates on my mobile. I thought there was some sort of stuff as the 1st quarter score came through. At least this time around we still won reasonably comfortably. Forget the tanking, forget the picks, there's nothing much better than your footy team winning a game, especially after the previous 11 weeks! |

Yes, I felt like this for a few hours after the game - and Camel - you should have felt the "vibe" amongst the blues supporters at the TD...... wonderful. BUT, do you want to have this feeling say 6 -10 times a year for let's say the next 5-10 years and never make the finals (maybe except for an occasional first week finals appearance in 8/7 spot) “Richmond style†|

Well said Mikkey i havnt changed my focus on what we have to do for the remaining part of this season. This was a great win and something we needed for us to make us feel better after such a poor showing in 11 rounds but it still dosnt mean we can afford to think we are okay. We could afford to win this game so we did. Yes Tigers where undermanned and if you look closely especially in the first Quarter DP completely out pointed Wallet with his changing Fwd line. The tigers had no idea who they where playing on and allowed us to run freely. Great to see and also great to see our kids like Bentick / Simmo / carrots all step and take more responsibility in the Midfield. So i really enjoyed the win stayed back sang the song but again i know for us to rebound more effectively next year we have to finish last. We need to get a Gun Kid in similar to a Hoge / Ball / Cooney / Delidio. I think Murphy is that option this year and if we can land him he will be potentially a great future Midfiled option. This is the Draft system we cant ignore it and with such a depressing year it is hard to salvage and yesterdays win was great but i am looking toward a more successful 2006 and if we bottom out this year i believe we will achieve that. |

I will give you a true reality check and that is last year we were pumped 4 times and the next week Pagan handed over training to the senior players and they came out and won . This week training was handed over to Peter Dean and they came out and won. Anyone starting to notice a pattern occurring here - anyone starting to think that the senoir group of players are trying to tell us something . It could be a coincedence but for it to happen 5 times seems a bit suss to me. |

mikkey ... yeah, yeah, I get all that shit, but I just loved having a smile on my face and the 4pts in the bag well before the final siren. I'd forgotten what that was like. Forgive me for indulging in the win. |

MAybe should be in the positives thread BUT we increased our tackle count by about 18% (50-59) over the Hawthorn game with our tackles coming from AB (8), Kouta (7), Bryan (7) Against Hawthon our highest was Houla with 5 (in the backpocket). That's a bit more of the midfield pressure we've been crying out for! |

yep .. AB layed 8 tackles .. when was the last time we had a player lay that many ? even stevo laid a few .. and the tackles stuck for change ! really changes the flow of the game when the tackling is hard ! suddenly the ball carriers panic and sooner or later .. the turnovers come was a treat to watch .. tho i did have a funny feeling the upset was on .. go blues .. |

MikeyI think your spot on.The worry is the defence. No Brown And Richo and they still kicked 16.Livo is hard at it ,but he does panic a bit when he has the ball. And Simmonds should of kicked 6.When he missed that shot from 30 i sensed our boys new it was going to be there day.Must keep bentick in the guts. |

I dont think anyone is getting carried away..overall we have a poor list but some our youngsters show promise and the supporters who have stuck fat deserve to enjoy the win..Richmond were right for the pickin..down on personel and Richo knocked out...but I'll take the win and enjoyed seeing the club song sung with gusto... |
