Caro had the inside story on our penalties before Black Friday. "We" think she was getting her info from Jabba. So her articles didn't make for very happy reading there for a bit.

That said, I personally rate her and think that my own frustration at the time had more to do with content than the person writing it. But, I guess we were all just pissed that it was pretty clear the AFL was leaking info before the official decisions had been made.

One thing is certain, she seems to have a knack of securing good, and solid, snouts to feed her tasty information for her articles.

Dear Caro, Of all the big 3 "talking heads" (Sheehan with his endless lists, Smith with his pompous self importance and yourself) I find your articles the "least" objectionable. In fact I have even enjoyed a couple of them. Faint praise I know, but let's face it. Apart from articles by Martin Flanagan football journalism in this country rarely hits the "Pulitzer" standard. Surprising given the rich history of our game, but when you read how American journalists embrace their sporting forklore, especially with baseball, the differences are stark. Anyway, back to the challenge. Caro I would like to challenge you to go a week without using the word "dreadful" in any of your articles or radio discussions. I thought that you had nearly done it today with your article on the Carlton Coaching overhaul, but you snuck one in four sentences from the end, (you sneaky minx you!!!). I know it's hard to not use the word when talking about Carlton these days but have a go!! Of course if Rex wears his grey tracksuit in the commentary box this weekend you'll have no hope!!! Go on Caro, I know you can do it!!! Best of luck!!

Considering we just beat her team the Tigers I was expecting her to come out with some nasty piece of work this week. She must have a good network of spies because she often gets her facts right. By the way Tony De Bolfo was SEN's deep throat for a while.

Aside from my rage at Agro's favourite person leaking to her she is no doubt the best football journalist in the country. As hard as it is to hear sometimes I want to know what is going on with my club - if I wanted to know about some footballer's girlfriend opening her own shoe shop then I'd read the Herald Sun.
