Saw houlie in the 2,s and he went well. However he isnt in this week and maybe Dp has had enough of him.DP hasnt got much time for players who are soft.Houlihan has more skill than most.If he was kept, play him up forward or on the ball.Perhaps it is too late and he will follow the path of his 3 brothers.

Nah it's okay, he's played a 100 games. Get him a wife with a bit of mongrel, breed 10 boys and we should have a gun in there.

I can tell you he's contracted for next year. I can also tell you his trade value is falling fast with every game he misses.

At this stage of his career, it is really shameful for Ryan to have reached a point where he is playing reserves footy and so out of favour that he can't crack a senior gig.

He has been at Carlton 6 years and is a 100 game player and he still lacks consistency and toughness. I think if the trade is right he will be shipped off. And I don't think Denis will be too greedy in what he gets in return for Ryan.

His a ok Player but i can't see him in a powerful Carlton side, but then again there wouldn't be a lot in the side at this moment that would be.

Robert Walls said during the week that Ryan Houlahan has played his last game for Carlton expect a trade.

I agree I spoke to a Kangaroos player about this and he said Dennis does not accept weakness, players not putting there body on the line he is all about winning the individual contest and making sacrifices and Ryan Houlhan does not get a tick in any of those qualities

I suspect houlihan will remain a blue at the end of the year. He is porbably only worth a 3rd rounder and I doubt the club wil delsit him so the only option is to keep him.

he is worth more than a third rounder a player with 100 games experiance has good skill just needs to get tough is worth more thana third rounder maybe early 2nd or even late 1st round

That is the problem with us Carlton supporters, we overestimate our players. No one would give away a first rounder for houlihan. They would get the sack for even thinking about it. If the offer did come up I would take it in an instant

I've had enough of him too! In fact, he passed my limit when he chickend out of a contest 10mtrs from where i was sitting in the last match at optus! If ever you needed to show some balls houlihan, that match was it! And you failed - so i've lost full faith in him.

Played a fantastic game for the ants last week and took a screamer of a mark (which i rarely seen him do!) but he is still weak and a coward!

His trade value will always be crap, mainly due to his last name, but as much as i hate him - i think we need to keep him! But don't be giving him the 'Prenda / Revolving door' treatment and bringing him back into the seniors after one good game~! Send him back there for the rest of the year - play him in the midfield and tell him to grow some balls.
Hopefully, next pre-season we see a different Houlihan. If not.............just delist him.
But hios contracted next year so i'd rather get something for our money rather than just give him a years pay and tell him to piss off!

Should be worth that if at his best & not playing 2's but at the moment we'd get well below his real value.

Just heard Barry Mitchell interviewed pre-match on 3LO. They asked him about Houla. He said he hadn’t had as good a year as last year. Needed to work on certain aspects of his game. Had played well last week but needed to work hard to regain his spot. Said he expected him to be back before the end of the year. Was asked about the incident. Said Ryan had to accept the criticism & learn from it.

Houlihan was no where near the best last week from what I saw. He was still soft as butter. Shouldn't come back this year.
