average crowd of 45,004 for the first half of the season!
Dan Murphy as a jumper sponsor
the Telstra Dome deal
the Wizard Cup victory (*cough - $220,000 - Cough*)
Record Membership!
increased corporate sales

= an $800,000 LOSS?????????????????? And this is before taking into account the whole TAX office issue??

What the hell is going on with my club?

Anthony Koutoufides' captaincy is under review

Can i ask why?

with Nick Stevens favourite to replace him;

Again.................Why?

Carlton Football Club has placed all Denis Pagan's assistant coaches (incl Barry Mitchell) under review

Ummm...........yeah..............about that.........................WHY?
He's taken the Bullants to the top of the ladder - he must be shit! He's gotten the best out of players like Walker, Livo, Houlihan, Diggby, Wiggens, Sporn, and others that while Dennis fails too time and time again.
Yep - get rid of him, he's shit!

Strip Kouta of the Captaincy? STRIP? I begg your flower pardon? Strip? Look, if you want to give the Captaincy to another player due to 'Rebuilding plans' then sure...............but strip? What the @#$%&! has he done wrong to be STRIPED of the captaincy????? I tell you one thing, if Geelong had him as a captain................the would be getting themselves ready for a home Prelim Final by now!

Stevens for Captain? What's he done to deserve this? I know he's a good player, and he's got great skilks, but he hasn't shown anything that would warrant him leading this 100+year old Club?

How can we be in this kind of shit mess which in actual fact, we are WORSE of now than what we were under Elliot?

I cannot make any sense of this bullshit and i am starting to beat my head against a brick wall trying to figure it out. I'm no accountant but................WHAT.......THE....@#$%&!?????????????

2007 is the earliest we can break even? THE EARLIEST?

Last year we made a profit of $210,000 (a profit - not taking into account the horrible $11million write-off of Optus). This year, we win $220,000 before the season has even started, yet before it's finished we are getting ready for an $800k backflip?

Somebody......ANYBODY...............explain to me just what the @#$%&! is going on?

The club is trying to get supporters to dig more and more into their pockets by crying poor. They want us to make donations for a new training facility that they said the AFL would be funding.

Look.. things have to change.
We all knew we would post a loss for this season.. well those of us who went to the meetings did.
No big surprise.

Kouta is not the future.

The $11m write-off last year was only because the board decided to move grounds, accelerating the necessary depreciation that was in place given the contract with the AFL to play at OO. (hard to see how this is off-set by a $3m incentive to move to docklands - but anyway)

With another major hit at the G yesterday added to the similar figure against freo would all but wipe out the winnings from the wizard wok.

Only one additional sponsor from the much vaunted additional FTA rights the move would result in.

The threatened tax bill is the result of a corporate structure maintained under the current board.

This board are well beyond their zero year.

Some people need to read a little more information . It has been stated in at least one report that this financial structure had been previously accepted by the ATO. Also, that the Board was given advice that this structure was OK by its auditors. It appears the ATO has changed its interpretation, in terms of disallowing something it had previously allowed.

Correct Headplant, hence "threatened tax bill."
