Brent Crosswell celebrates his 55th birthday today (8 August).

'Tiger' was recruited from Tasmania by Ron Barrasi in 1968.

A flamboyant and brilliant player who notched up 98 games for the Blues, including the 1968 and 1970 premierships.

Went on to continue a successful career at North Melbourne and then Melbourne. Ironically played under Barassi in all three teams despite having an at times 'testy'relationship. Ended up playing in 4 premierships and 8 grand finals.

Happy Birthday Tiger.

Other Carlton birthday's today include, George Ferry, who played 137 games for the blues in the 1950s, and Michael Mansfield who we all know.

Happy birthday to Brent, George and Mick who all share a birthday with the lovely Mrs NTBlue, who turns 52 today.

Best wishes to the boys, and to MrsNT...although I'm tipping she wouldn't thank you for telling everyone her age!
