HAWTHORN COULD WIN TOMORROW :?: :?:

Obviously Bentick, but he has his own threads. Yet I have to say his disposal was superb tonight.

I was really impressed with Andrew Walker. He worked really hard to win some contested ball using his pace and evasive skills. Heard him interviewed after the game and he said now he's run with good players he's trying to use the skills he learned tagging in his own game. Apart from that ine turnover kick I was very happy with him tonight. Good work Andrew.

Eddie Betts. What else can you say but - EDDIE :!:

Callum Chambers played his best game tonight and kicked a great goal. Hopefully at full fitness in 2006 he can make his career happen at Carlton.

Good leadership from the senior players tonight.

Thought Bryan and French worked well tonight, although their opposition was weak.

Cory Mcgrath shut down Buckley. Great one handed mark Cory :!: Really showed up your opponent.

Simmo and Waite were good again.

I think Wiggo has showed enough coming off the bench the last few weeks to stay on the list in 2006.

Have to give some plaudits to Collingwood's no. 43 Harry O'Brien, thought he had the better of Brad Fisher tonight.

And from earlier in the day Setanta played back and forward and kicked four goals, really feel he'll come on in 2006/7. Hartlett, Blackwell and Russell all showed good instincts, but are just kids. In the Bullant's ressies Anthony Raso didn't get much of it, but he showed an array of glimpses at different footy skills, put another 15kgs. on over three years and he really could be something way down the track.

Oh and AB will have to get the rising star after a B.O.G. performance. I'm slowly becoming converted.:-D

Loved Andrew Walker's brilliant but casual one handed pick up with Egan loitering ready to pounce.Brilliant play and Kouta like skill which finished with Kouta's one handed or one hipped mark and a goal from a set shot. :-D

Wiggins.

I've said this before, but HE SETS THE TONE. WE PLAY HARDER AND MORE ACCOUNTABLE WHEN HE IS IN THE SIDE.

I love the guy.

Eddie Betts gets better and better. An absolute livewire. Loved it when Clinton Grybas said 'put down your glasses' while Eddie was still ducking and weaving through three Collingwood opponents.

Great overall team effort.

I agree but will be traded with Houilhan i bet at year end and possibly Sporn also if the club can work around his contract that finishes in 2006 or Prendergast who contract finishes the same next year.

Bentick, Betts, Chambers and Bryan all had their best games for the club IMO.

While the opposition was weakened through injuries, it was good to see the way that the guys worked together as a team, and the quality of the opposition also allowed some of the lesser lights like CHambers a bit of space to get a bit of the pill.

Bryan's two forward line marks were a highlight in the last quarter, as was Eddie's first goal where he gathered, kicked and THEN looked at where the goals were, and it still went dead centre.

It's a positive that Simpson had another good crack at it, yet we are not raving about him tonight now as this is now par for the course for him. He now looks like he knows he is a part of the grand plan.

But Adam Bentick, take a bow. Rising Star nom this week (assuming he's eligible) surely.

Ponkstar, did you really think Chambers was that good?

He got a bit of the ball, but I think he fumbles too often.

I don't think he's terribly good.

I'm comparing him to what we've seen in the H&A season so far. It was the first evidence I have seen that he will have something really positive to offer the side.

He hasn't played a lot of footy this year, 1sts or 2nds - would explain the fumbles perhaps?

Fair call.

I thought he ran well and took a few good steady marks on the run.

But he also mucked up twice with his hands, so I'm neither here nor there on him to be honest.

I hope he proves me wrong.

my positive was touching half the team tonight.

and catching it all on video!!!

haha. got to pat half of the team at the weekend down the race, and got to film it even though the security was trying to drag us of the fence.

when i figure out how, i will upload it all for you!

was givving eddie (mcFAThead) an earful too just before the bell too.

thanks blues for a great night, and all you tankers, well good luck to ya beacuse you would not have been happy tonight.

just one more win to go and we can stick it up all those non-belivers all those so called "supporters", who would rather us not to try our best, not try to show some belief in the jumper, not try and and play with some dignity and self belonging. who cares if we are shit and get to reep the rawards of playing the system? well, who? well not me!!

to hell with this "lay down and take the picks" i follow CARLTON not flipping Stkilda. where the difference between us and them, they would be happy with "solid" performances with their top shelf hand-outs to hell and back with that, Soapy Vallence would be turning in he grave!.

we are CARLTON, we don't tank and we NEVER WILL! Tanking Is For Loosers and manufactured by AFL endoresed wank-outs.

Blue boys, I was proud of the effort and the result tonight, we are slowly heading int the right direction, Prioity Pick or not!

we will fight and we will rise to the top eventually. and I would be saying the same thing if we lost tonight. Go Blues and stay proud!

The winning culture is what its all about.
Its fantastic that we now have a winning culture.

We can now look forward to playing Collingwood next year when they have Rocca, Tarrant, Fraser, Didak,Cloke,Richards and others back as well as two picks to our one.

Winning cultures are capable of winning when it counts .. not junk time!!!

All i keep reading is how the opposition was shit... I agree they were, however, we all seem to forget that last week they almost beat the Kangaroos who are right up in the 8... has last weeks game gone for 5 mins less i'm sure the pies would have one....

Who care about the oppositon all our young guys played well, kouta and stevo were great too..... And we had a lot of individual goal kicker
