that it was a meaningless win and a meaningless game, I would like to say: The win was “meaningless†|

We're still in line for a PP. We're not bottom of the ladder. We beat Collingwood. What's not to like? |

We're not bottom of the ladder. We beat Collingwood. What's not to like? 3 good games in a row now from our youngsters. Not lead by Lappin, Kouta and Campo but by young players yet to make there mark. I am a lot happier with that than anything else. Still might get the priority pick but some good signs for the futre. A long way to go however. |

Have we seen our youngsters perform/show glimpses to that standard against top 4 teams? Its no good playing well against the mediocre teams and then do SFA against the gun teams. Just look at Cameron Bruce.....always plays well against the shit teams but crumbles under pressure in a game that counts. |

Kouta was still OK. Lappin and Campo were average, and Campo cost us a couple of goals. I want a PP, but I'd like to beat the Bombres (sic) as well. Such a dilemma. |

If our better form was on the back of 35 poss a game from Kouta and Lappin and Campo then we would be going backwards. It is not and the less we rely on those players the better we seem to be going. Playing more as a team now. Still need to draft really well this year but there is more to work with now and the club did not cave into demands from Lappin, Whits and Campo about re-signing. |

Agreed. There really has been a changing of the guard at Carlton. It's actually kinda saddening for me when I personally find I'm not hanging out for those three players to be re-signed, but invigorating at the same time. |

Or trade them on our terms. If 1 wants to walk in the PSD and we dont have first pick then so be it. 2 years for all 3 of them would be what I would offer. |

Simpson was terrific against the Saints with 13 possies and 3 goals. ![]() And Russell debuted in that game and showed he has the skill but still developing his body and game. But the Saints weren't top four then! ![]() |

I must admit I've softened my stance. I'd be quite happy to finish 2nd last with a PP. |

Brisbane in 98 won the spoon with 6 wins and missed the PP, and drafted Des Headland |

![]() Well with one quarter to go I am feeling comfortable with my prediction. My only problem is that we face Kevin Sheedy next week and he will not make our job too easy or too hard if you know what I mean? |
