Do you reckon he could play a more ubiquitous forward role like Barry Hall? ie, if we lose Whitnall and can't pick up a tall option...... Could we see Fev pushing up the ground to the wings and double back? Does he have the motor for it? I wouldn't mind seeing Fev deliver balls into the forward 50... he has an awesome kick on him. Our problem is we'll be using Setanta or DeLuca as the pure CHF.... and, DeLuca doesn't move up the ground high enough and gets into Fevola's way, and Setanta's still learning the craft. DeLuca might be a short term option, if he can learn to get outside 50 and stay there...... ... but can we see Fev playing a more "everywhere forward" role, a bit like Hall? The other thing is, he's probably our most physically imposing player, and we need to start using that weapon more up the ground. We need more muscle where it counts.. |

i think we should develop setenta as a defender, given that we have no vancancies in the forward line. |

The best we've played all year is when we've been looking beyond Fev to other options. The whole secret to beating Carltobn used to be blocking off Fevola for an easy rebound. We strethc teams' defences now. I am happy to see Fev stay FF and play foil to our other marking forwards. Fev will still have his big days and his quiet days but his work off the ball is very handy for us when he does it. Keep him at FF but with a contested marking option like Fisher, Bryan, Deluca, Setanta or whoever close to the goalsquare. |

LIKE BARRY HALL........ but, does he have the motor for it? I mean, you don't see Hall taking hangers... you just need to work hard and keep leading. When Fev's switched on he does that anyway. |

Next year we need to rotate players around in the forward line. Would like to see Fevola played in other positions. Setanta and Deluca might also be options in the pocket and CHF at times. Bryan will also be an option. We are really lacking key defenders now. Not sure if Fisher, Waite or someone else can be turned in a tall defender. Need to target someone in the draft. The midfield which looked the problem is showing much better signs but our defence is till a huge problem. I think we need to get a Spangher, Lucy or Mills with our second and third round picks if available. |
