Okay so that didn’t work. I see both sides are going to keep at each other for the remainder of this season. Perhaps we need a partition? No community can survive without restraint. That was the point behind my dropping out – but it needs all of us to show restraint. I was getting close to becoming personal but did not want to, and was tired of how personal the whole place was becoming. I had hoped that if I shut up maybe others would also. Silly of me really, ego and all that I suppose.

We have all gone over the pros cons a million times, can’t we just stop now?

It really has become tiresome to all I would think. if not it may be that this community has served its purpose and needs to break up into smaller ones. Or we need to accept the rights of posters to post threads and restrain ourselves from biting each time.

At this moment we have another choice TCers. We can continue down this road and burn so many bridges none of us will come back

Or we can just get over our differences and find the things we all cherish.

All of us are pleased with Simmo or AB – regardless of the other stuff, so lets talk about them without he other context. Can we?

Or is it too consuming? Must 1 side be right? is this our own personal proof. Do we succumb to thread terriorism and fundamentalist supporter stances?

I have enjoyed this community for a while now. It has brought be great joy. I love going to the footy and seeing many more faces that ever before. I like popping ti to training and see faces I know.

I love BV’s posts, Agro’s humour, Wolfster’s weekly’s, tommi’s dots and so on. Is being right worth risking all this?

Have we no common ground any more?

Is it now a case of who case post the most smart arse thread?

How many mods feel like moderating at the moment? Why would they? This is a kindergarten of sand tossing and lolly snatching.

But gee it as good to see that old monogram wasn’t it.

Glad to see you back danny. :-D

And yes, moderating at the moment sucks...big time...

but as you have observed, the plea for self-moderation has not worked so zero tolerance from now on.

i too grow tired of the constant tripe we are all posting at the moment.

but i would like to add.

IMO - there is only one poster than continues to get personal, time and time again.

half of the debate is becuase of "said poster" and his constant trolling and turning just about every thread into a debate about flower priority pricks. (that wasnt a spelling error either)

the sooner an ignore button is introduced the better for all parties.

Be nice but i dont think so....bragging rights mean a lot to many on this site and I can see this going until the next flag is delivered and the path taken either tanking or non tanking is proven correct...Gary Lyon in one of his few sensible moments suggested on the Sunday footy show that the system has to change....maybe some dicussion on a better alternative to the farce of a drafting system we have at the moment would be more productive than this endless debate over PP's...
I'm all for the lottery system similar that the NBA have in relation to the group of teams finishing at the low end of the ladder....the AFL are a disgrace allowing this PP scenerio to continue.....

Garry Lyon's attitude would change at the drop of the hat if he ever took a coaching job and his side was in reach of a PP.

They should keep priority picks as Wallet said, it's a bit unfair for a St Kilda, etc to win a flag by having access to a PP then snatch that chance away from other clubs. Then we could whinge like Saints fans that they bought flags by tanking!* Which we are starting to sound like!

If the idiots at AFL house introduce a lottery priority pick system, what's stopping an injury riddled side from "tanking" to get in the draw for the first pick? :?:

What we really need is another topic to talk about that will divert attention from the tanking thing & restore peace & unity.

How about this: I was talking to a bloke the other day who's setting up an alternative sports media website, wants to include TC as a link on its page…wanna give it a try?

Actually that's an awesome idea CK.

We could, you know, like, have advertising on our site and, well, you know, hosting is expensive so we could all chip in a bit.

Sounds brilliant.
