Hi

I've added an automatically updating news feed onto the Canberra Carlton Blues site - http://www.canberracarltonblues.com

It's an RSS feed and I'm new to the technology so bare with me if there's a few hiccups over the next few days.

But if all is working properly, it should update news links as they are added to a Carlton Blues news search I've got set up in Google!

Wish me luck and I hope it's useful!

Mods - happy to try to make the news feed a sticky here but not sure how to add it onto the board! - Camelboy - we can have a chat about it sometime!

Rich

Mo worries Rich. I think chucky and Jarusa have both mentioned this technology in the past too. Good luck with it. 8)

Rich, there is another place that provides free AFL related news feeds. I use them on other sites.

http://www.bignewsnetwork.com/index.php ... c6da8fc76/

Go down to the bottom of the page and there a couple of ways they let you link to their news feeds.

Hey, I might change my Xbox to get this newsfeed rather than the xbox-scene one that Avalaunch defaults to.

i actually cant see the newsfeed on the homepage when i view the homepage at work - no doubt a firewall setting

is anyone having dramas viewing the automatic newfeed from their home accounts?

if so, what browser (including the if the version number please) are you using?

Thanks

Rich

I was thinking of offering one of those for free from FanFooty, adapted from our Media Street system which is based on our own news aggregation code, not Google. It would show info similar to what is on our Around the Web news page for Carlton players.

Would that sort of thing interest TC peeps?
