Have long held the opinion that L.Livingston was not upto AFL standard and after watching the game today against the Dons i have come to the belief that B Thornton might not be either.

Not enough size for full back/c.h.back and only realistic position for him is as a flanker.

Would have good currency.Should his name be added to the possible trades list.

Also have some concerns regarding fev.
Are we contemplating trading the wrong forward.

Any thoughts ?

Once we get a genuine KP defender, Thornton will play a much bigger role and be of much better use to us.

He might not be a KPP, but the way the ball came in meant that no defender could stop the flood of goals

The midfield are at fault.........................................once again

Will someone tell Walker to have another 26 possession game? I know the whole team was bad today, but he should at least be showing something more than potential!

Thornton has been disappointing this season and at times doesn't look up to it, but he has an injury interrupted year which no doubt would have affected his confidence, touch, and consistency, so should give him the benefit of the doubt this season.

Though overall Thornton falls somewhere lower than at what Carlton fans rate him, and somewhere higher than opposition fans rate him. He's a useful footballer and would make a great 2nd or 3rd tall defender.

How is Thornton a senior player ??

Walker was running with Hird at one stage.. Give him time....

KOUTA, 3 kicks 4 handballs.... Did Pagan get into his head and say don't touch the footy....

Campo might of had 31 touches but...

Scott Camporeale was paying his direct opponent in Dyson scant regard and the young Bomber made the most of his freedom - notching his third goal early in the quarter.

Thornton is an average to good footballer. Too many Blues fans rate him higher. I would love to see him develop the way M Sexton did slowly over the years into an All Australian, however l have my doubts.

Campo being unaccountable and picking up 30+ easy USELESS touches? NO.....*feigns shock and slaps hand to cheek*

Given Sporn was out Russell should have been brought in for some gametime on Hird.Wouldn't hurt his development and makes more sense than Pagan's decision to go with McGrath from the first bounce!

McGrath was good on Buckley last week.

McGrath, along with Morrell, are two i hope survive the inevitable end of season cull..

I liked how McGrath got stuck into Fev for his poor early effort against Lloyd.. didnt take any crap from him, Fev seemed to have more of a dip after that.

I don't think Thornton works as hard as he used to.

Thornton is still carrying an injury. Give him some time and support. Bad game today though. Mcgrath squibing it on the wing with Hille will be frowned upon by the selectors at cull time.

Campo and Kouta cruising must surely be apart of the tank plan.

Whitnal was our best until his poor kicking for goal caught up with him.
Scotland and Carazzo looked ok today.

Walker needs to get back to the old drawing board and find out where he is going to fit into the world of football. THere is something there but its not gonna come the surface easily.

A day to forget.

With regard to Thornton-not only looking at his physical inability to stay with an oponent, which may be due to injury,But also his mental state when he gets beaten.Throws the arms out, head back chucks a hissey fit and cracks the sads-not to put too fine a point on it.

Unacceptable at Afl level-give opposition confirmation they are getting on top of him.Loosing your cool means loosing your concentration.

Needs to pull his finger out or we might be better off trading him.-Only my opinion of course.

go easy on walker - he is very young -remember he was a year younger than the other draftees - and remember that daniel wells is struggling to consistently get more than 10 possies a game - and wells is playing in a finals team! walker is at least 2 years away from being a consistent midfielder, you cant expect more until then.

And i think people might be a bit premature with thornton - it is easy to forget, but thornton is only 21 - name a more promising full back who is 21 in the afl? FB is a hard position which requires experience and savvy - all things thornton is learning - just wait until he is 23, when our booming midfield is blossiming - he will be a premier full back then!! Thorton has all the attributes to be a good long term FB.

Campo and Kouta

While there is nothing to be gained from having them slug their guts out at this point in the season-they are both supposed to be leaders.
Surely they could find the energy to at least try to stop us getting absolutely smashed yet again.losing is one thing but 100 points.

Kouta has been reasonably good on many occasions but Campo looks like he's been on valium for most of the year.Definitely on the way out IMO.
