Really disappointed with todays effort - yes we need priority picks but the ineptitude of the effort the gutlessness of the team was horrendous - as pathetic a performance as against kangas 2 years ago - played horribly and without spirit against a very ordinary team of kids - not at all accountable no leadership no grit no grunt no anything- no system no hardness Should be ashamed as a team of that performance and total disrespect for the jumper and your members -to any of the players if you want to serve up that crap and not bleed for the jumper P### OFF - second time this year I have been ashamed to be a carlton supporter - need a total clean out And if you think Im being harsh just think that last week the 14th team that is half a game ahead of us beat this mob by over 6 goals and should have won by 10 To be beaten by hird lucas and lloyd is one thing but be embarrassed by players like stanton lovett- murray welsh absolutely appalling As you know I always try to be positive but today was just beyond the pale - CUT DEEP DENNIS |

As a fan for getting the PP's, I was appalled by today's effort. Luckily I didn't get to witness it live, due to other committments, but managed to catch the Ch Eddie replay and it was PATHETIC all round. |

I say we sack them all! That will fix everything right? We sack them all. Maybe we should sack Pagan too. Sack the coach! What about the recruiting manager as well? Sack him too. What about the guy who lost us the early draft picks? Sack Elliot a second time just for fun! What about Blackwell, Hartlett and Raso? If they were any good they'd be playing by now. Sack the kids! What about those O'hAilpins? They haven't dominated the comp after playing 20 games of footy in there entire lives. Sack Setanta!! What about Collo? He fat, uncharismatic and he has heart problems. Sack Collo!! What about the fans? They've been calling for us to lose. Sack the members!! Have I left anyone out? Now that it's all been said people don't have to start the same dumbass topics that appear every time we get thrashed. |

Did I say to sack the coach did I say sack collo - did I say sack all the players - Did I say sack the recruiting guys - indeed we need to hang on to all these people as they are our only hope surely you were not happy with todays performance even with a sub- standard list - I didnt single any player out but collectively our team today was ABSYMAL All I said was that the coach needs to take major corrective surgery to the list and that todays effort against a team without about 5 of their best players was appaling How about reading the post carefully ![]() |

Why when they are objective and an honest assessment of todays performance If you notice I rarely criticize the team but today they DESERVE CRITICISM-WHY after a performance like today would a young kid want to admit to barracking for carlton- why would our 33,000 members rally to the cause next year after today and a couple of performances like it earlier in the year - why are we losing money and have falling attendances over the last 8 weeks Supporters accept losing and that your list is ordinary but what they want cop is the type of performance and the manner in which we went about it today How can you lose to Port Adelaide 3 weeks ago at the "G"by 14 points and lose to Essendon* without rioli peverill rama fletcher solomon by 100 points - I repeat hawthorn who have won half a game more than us thrashed Essendon* last week - what we wanted today was effort and spirit we GOT NOTHING |

Frank there are alot of ups and down in footy... We have been up against crap opposition(Collingwood who were hammered by Adelaide yesterday)... Essendon* are crap but they have rolled StIKilda.. At the end of the day each club has a lowest common denominator.. and ours is the lowest of them all.. We have a shithouse leadership group.. we dont have much talent.. and we have an arrogant supporter base that refuses to believe we need to fix things...and fast!!!... so the club tries to win 10 games last year effectively stopping us from getting our hands on the best talent... Talk about a winning culture and cracking the whip.... it just doesnt cut it!!!! We have had so many early picks pissed againt the wall outside a pub at 3 am on Sunday morning.. that today there isnt much left!!!.. there is no middle tier.. there is no senior group that will pull the team into line when things are going bad.. and the kids???Well theyre just kids and they need time and more talented kids for the future... Why Essendon*??? Why not Essendon*??.. it just happened to be Essendon*... it could have been Richmond... ... oh!!!Thats right!!! Richmond did it too.... Lets just get on with rebuilding the team shall we??? |

That's about the only real difference between todays effort and the effort against Port, the kids for a most part had a shocker. It happens. Stating the obvious, calling them a disgrace and stating that the list should be cut hard because we lost a match against Essendon* is hardly insightful stuff or at all productive to the situation at hand. Nothing has changed since last week, nothing. We still have the same issues and are in the same situation and acting like one loss suddenly changes that is rediculous at best. Beside as I said it wasn't entirely targeted at you. I've read posts from idiots saying we should trade Thronton, that Fevola is a no good hack who's a disgrace to the club when 6 months ago they were following him around like puppies and even idiots claiming that it's a great day for the club. I apologise if that makes me a bit upset by stupid irritates me and it always seems to abound whenever we have a loss. And yes verbs I read what he posted. Did you read what I posted? Does it matter if it was broader then the direct subject matter? It never has in the past at this site. |

Lets roll up the sleeves and get to it and thats why Dennis needs to cut deep YES the richmond game earlier this year was the other day I was commenting on earlier and what makes it more galling I suppose is to be beaten by traditional enemies in that manner when neither are any good is what is SO shocking - particularly when they havent got that much better list than ours - BETTER YES BUT NOT 100 POINTS BETTER Equally how bad are we when we havent had many injuries and are supposed to be playing with full complement of players Yes we have a shocking list but surely we can have it having a red hot go |

Why bother with an objective and honest assesment of today's performance when performance is conducted by losing as an incentive? Today was the second last match to go. Today was a really bad shave. Today was a sickie; we'll get paid for it. ![]() |

A red hot go starts with your leadership group. we dont have one.. so our kids try but they dont know.... so we cant transplant a leadership group from other clubs... so we need to draft for one now and plan... Whatever people think of this playing group... there is no denying or running away from the fact its not up to scratch. You cant not have that many picks over the years and be competitive. There is no point refelcting on this.. we just need to fix it!!!! It wont happen overnight.. so lets get real and patient and allow the club to start rebuilding from the top down and the bottom up.. |

Can you blame them for not feeling particularly motivated to carry their senior players for another match against a lesser challenge? |
