What would you do with Houlihan frank?

keep him or trade him?

Can we afford to have one of our senior players set that example?

Is it that bad compared to some of the stuff our other senior players put out there?

Anyone who thinks Thornton is our next captain. I finally saw him lay a tackle today. Of course that was after he ignored the player with the ball a few times.

keep him unless we get a ripper trade for him
whilst he has deficiencies unlike most on our list he can hit a target and at least tries to be creative when he gets the ball

Seriously Why. ? Not that i'm disagreeing with you but as i've read a few of your posts tonight and you sound like you are still fuming, give us something that backs up your call here.

If indeed Blackers Russell and Houla come in who goes out.
Personally i think Fev will not or should not play next week, i think Clarke might be given a goodbye selection as a reward for his comittment, DeLuca might be back, but then do you drop Bryan, what about Prenda ?

frank if you can be bothered put up a team sheet as you would have us for next week. make the call early and lets see how the team sheet appears come Thursday night. ?

No stress though, maybe a drink a DVD of 95 and a good nights sleep might just help.

It was terrible you're right, but its over now, the season is gone and as much as we all love winning, the only win we are about to have is that of which the AFL rewards to terrible teams. Lets take it and move forward.

"As i have another drink " :-D :-D

Nah they're not good enough. Let's sack them. We did lose to Essendon* after all!

None of them played. Surely today's effort must mean they're better than what was out there today.

I tend to agree on Houla. Finally calmed down after a few weeks. I'd let him sweat it with the Ants for another week though. Hope the message get's through.

If they were any good they would've played, regardless of whether they were picked or not. Sack them!!! And let's sack Kernahan while we're at it. His voice is too deep.

Am I being a bit bitter? Maybe I'm not taking the loss and the reaction to it very well. It's brought out a bit of a mean streak in me.

I don't care who we field as long as they give it a decent crack. Today they looked like they had Mad Monday on their minds.

Bowyer deserves a send off as well and I don't know if there's much difference between him and Teague ATM! Or that could be the Guinness talking!

Send offs? Maybe if he's played 300 games for the club but Bowyer's barely played 20. You give send offs to champions who've reached the end, not to hacks who couldn't cut it at the highest level.

Point taken! Will it cost us the match or a finals berths? Bring back Houla and straighten up the side's gameplan! Houlihan on Archer.

Houlihan doesn't do that and the effect on the side shows whenever he plays.

Maybe I'm being harsh but I can only go on what I've seen live at the footy. With Houlihan we’re soft and don’t put in 100% effort, without him we're like a pack of Hyenas.

So how do you explain today's effort? Still Houlihan's fault??? :garthp:

 It might be worth it just for the comedic value.

Softest player in AFL history vs one of the hardest players in AFL history.
Who will win this titanic struggle!!

He's a senior player with 100 games experience and he's playing in the twos. That's why it's his fault. It's a disgrace that because of poor form and a weak heart Pagan has been forced to drop such a important player in the prime of his footy life.

Trade Houlihan....he just doesn't suit Pagans style of game. He'd be much better in some other team, and hopefully we could get a good sort of pick for him

So one minute you're saying he costs us because he's in the side & next minute you're saying he costs us because he's not in the side. Can you make your mind up? :garthp:

And I think Tony Shaw's criticism may have forced Pagan to drop him.

You won't get a decent sort of pick for him after he's been playing in the 2's. Do you think Pagan would be playing him in the 2's if he wanted to trade him?

FYI Houlihan is currently playing in the 2's to work on the deficiencies that you all know about but is a required player & will not be going anywhere.

It's both. He's an important experienced player who has talent, yet because of poor form, a weak heart and the fact that he hurts more than helps when he's in the seniors he's stuck in the twos. When his club is sitting on the bottom of the ladder needing every scrap of experience they can get it’s a disgrace and an indictment on Houlihan.

And I expect your the only one to think otherwise. The faster we can get rid of him and end the drain on our resources that Houlihan represents the better.
