OK – so we went to the game today and had great seats on level 2 in the new Ponsford stand. First 10 minutes - the Blues on fire 3.3 to 0.1 and should have been at least 5 goals if not for woeful kicking.

Seemed clear to me at exactly this moment the “tankâ€

I would like to think we tried to win this game but agree with the comments made and I couldnt help but wonder at some of the changes and matchups...it did look like tanking and thats dissapointing..I just hope it was an off day but you would have to question the efforts of all concerned and I would be disgusted in the club if we tanked...

We were shit, and I reckon Denis just threw players all over the place just to keep himself amused.

F*%^ the priority pick.

That was simply the most humiliating performance by Carlton I have ever seen.

Be very very surprised if we can attract sponsorhip, uncontracted players, and even Marc Murphy if they see that bucket of dog's vomit.

I expected some halfway accountable footy in that second half.

Didn't you make Rd 22 v North in 2003 Ponk?

Or v Richmond earlier this year?

But it was definitely the most humiliating performance by Carlton I've seen in the past 7 days, will give you that.

Was going to ask the same question hammerman...

That North game still gives me nightmares. And the fact that we have them for the final round again next week means I won't sleep till it's all over.

There's been the odd 100-point loss to the Saints too.

Under the circumstances, today's result is not even bothering me in the slightest.

In fact I missed that north game

At least againts north you could argue we were playing a side a few notches above us.

Pound for pound and considering the players they had out, it had to be worse than the Richmond game.

Perhaps the stench ot the were they / weren't they made it worse....

No tanking... regardless of what you think... we didnt tank.
Players had to look Denis in the eyes on their entry to the dressing room after the game.. and by all reports it was a fiery half time address.

The club is sick... and the stench made it out today..

We can pretend its this or that... but this loss was no worse than probably 10 others in the last 4 years....

Thats why we have a perpetual 70% .

Thats why we better do something to try and get back into the ball game....

You can hope for wins as much as you like but today is your present and your future unless we rebuild with talent.

Thank goodness we shit ourselves and the embarassment it was all out there for all to see this time..hopefully that wakes up the dream boats

its not a case of waking up the dream boats synbad and this is where you and I differ.

i dont advocate losing at all and want my team to win every single game they play.

i understand that benefits of early draft picks, i even understand the benefit of a first pick in the PSD, but i wont accept losing deliberatly to get these benefits.

its not about swallowing pride, its not about accepting our fate, its about expecting the players we have on our list to put everything in everytime we crossed that line.

I had a bad feeling coming into the game yesterday that we where going to lose, and when Ted Richards started to take a few screamers my bad feelings turn into nightmares. im very frustrated with what the players did yesterday but i also think that the buumers had abit of a day out as well so not all is lost.

I think that's a short memory coming through. 2003 was for mine far worse - yesterday we just couldn't get the ball. As bad as we are, we've actually improved in my view. Phases, stages, changes... a bit more time to go....

The only difference between you and Synbad when it comes to the love of Carlton is that synbad's way of thinking will deliver a premiership way before your way of thinking will. Accept reality WE AINT GOOD ENOUGH !!
