I tried my luck with a few jumpers...and with an hour to go am still the winning bidder for one..hmmm....fingers crossed - but wouldn't be surprised if I get outbid. They were extremely high...and needless to say I'll be eating 2 minute noodles for the next month! |

Two words for you. Snipe. Program. I decided to bite the bullet and get one after being sniped on countless occasions. Maxi Bidder from Colourfull Creations (the spelling's theirs) is really good. On my first try with it, I got me a new Powerbook. Getting it in a couple of days. |

And if you don't have a Mac ........ ?? What other products are there that are decent ?? I've used 'Auction Sniper' and that was a shocker. There has to be better options than that one. |

Didn't end up bidding in the auctions. The fact that I have to work during the day, when most of the auctions closed, didn't help my cause either. Bought one, though ![]() |

Sorry Sheik, I thought Colourfull made Windows stuff too. Try Tucows Software Downloads and look for "Auction Utilities" (I think) And Ryan, that's where Snipers work, you leave your comp running and connected, and it waits until a set time before the Auction ends, and automatically places a bid for you. |

How is that any different from the way you can place a maximum bid with eBay anyway??? |

If you place the max bid straight away, then you're showing your hand, so to speak. The price will start going up as soon as someone else starts bidding. So, if you want a new computer (like I did), know how much you are prepared to spend, and place that max bid as close to the end time of the auction. This has 2 effects: 1) it means you have a better chance of actually winning, and 2) it means that the price won't get as close to your maximum you want to spend, as the auction ends before eBay ramps up the price, even if there's a handful of people bidding. |

No....unfortunately had to leave work (and computer) before auction ended and had $400 on Carrazzo - it sold for $410. Would have liked Andrew and Justin Madden to sign it...anyhow - not to be. That was pretty much all I was prepared to pay. There will be other heritage jumpers (match worn) in years to come anyhow....I think the number 5 2006 jumper is looking good for my bid next year! And that'll be Josh Kennedy right?! ![]() |
