Just a few things that pissed me off in the papers this week...

We get an article about how the Pies are going to use their picks in the draft. A whole article. They are going to use their picks...unbelievable. I feel lucky having read that article. Who would have thought more than three sentences could relay this information, let alone a whole @#$%&! article?

Sheedy/Essendon* outraged over rewarding underperformers. Whoa! Groundbreaking stuff. Nothing about the fact they Should be in the same priority mix situation if the AFL had have punished them with any consistency...mind you, Aker stated in his Courier Mail column that Carlton have, "...been cricified," as reason for where we are.

And really, have we been any worse than the Pies or Hawthorn this year? Why does every match preview concerning Carton hammer how bad they are, but the Pies and the Hawks previews forgive them with dishwater excuses/reasons? The bottom is a shit place but it is shared...

And, I stood in dogshit on Tuesday and it was my own dog's and I had about 10 minutes to get to work. I cleaned it off with newspaper.

This always amuses me. Considering the fact that we copped penalties and they didn't those teams should be absolutely trashed in the media but all we hear is "youth" and "injuries"...

Hope it was the Herald Sun...

Agree completely. I reckon Hawthorn especially has had a DREAM run in the media considering that at the end of the day they've only won 5 games for the season.

At the beginning of the year the Hawks were many people's tip for the spoon. We were tipped by most to finish around the middle of the ladder.

Which, depending on your perspective means people either misread where we were at or we underachieved.

Considering our list versus Hawthorn's, in hindsight it's hard to see why people would have rated us so much higher than them (including myself) other than the fact that they were backing Pagan over Clarkson and the Wizard Cup results increased that faith.

Is Pagan a victim of other people's expectations or is our list really a mid-table list?

I can't find another 7 or 8 lists I'd rate below ours.

Yeah, but they have Gumby coaching them, so fairs fair.

We'll be back kids, we'll be back.
