Driving home tonight on the radio there were 2 interesting topics on SEN. I know that I am their last listener in Melb but for what it is worth here is what was said:

Schwarz said that Carlton had offered Whitnall a new contract. Others questioned this and said that they has spoken to Lance's manager and he had denied it. Ox was adamant and said that he was 98% certain. He said that he thought carlton were more than likely to keep Lance. There was some discussion on whether the deal offered would be any good and whether he would get offered more elsewhere etc.

SEN topic 2 was some peanut that rang in and said that he had been out at Glenferrie today and had seen Fevola and his manager there at about 11:30 this morning. I know..I know..I know!! The old Big Footy favourite and probably the third day in a row that Fevola has been spotted somewhere etc etc. The guy was pretty adamant. There was a lot of speculation about Fevola being traded, Hawthorn and the Dogs being the subject of most speculation.

Just a couple of thoughts, dont shoot the messenger, just calling it how it came in over the airwaves.

Stay tuned for some more big news in the morning.

Billy will talk about Froffies and G-Bangers. And things will be succinted over 3 hours of champagne radio.

That will be ground breaking.

If it wasn't for Jacques, that station would have nothing.

The Fev story was posted on here yesterday via Hawk Headquarters. Seemed to be a bit of a Furphy, but you never know. I think we'd keep one of Lance or Fev, and I won't be surprised if one goes.

The loke who talked about Fev being seen at Glenferrie is only parrotting what he read on Hawks Headquarters.

As for Ox, who knows? Maybe he does have some info, it is highly likely that the Blues have offered Lance something.

I can confirm right now that David Schwarz is the biggest clown since Bozo donned the red nose.
He has been 98% sure about several things previously that he utilised 2% of his minimal grey matter to negotiate.
He may be correct this time which will be his maiden correct thought.

Maxwell Grattan, Mark Robinson and Patrick Smith appear intelligent by comparison.

It has been said that we only use 10% of our brain capacity however in Schwartz's case this may have been over estimated by a considerable margin.

With regard to Hawthorn - they have a few low draft picks - they want Fevola they will have to pay.

According to yesterdays Hun Whits and Campo's contracts will not be done until Dennis gets back from Holidays. Seems about right.

Last night, I saw Fevola, naked, floating on a clam

I'm not sure what it means, but I assume it means he has signed a 5 year deal with Essendon*, and we're getting Mark Bolton and Pick 109 for him.

Also, I may or may not have been dreaming.

I was on GOLD FM a few mornings ago about what a shit footytipper I am.

I was so proud. This year I came last with 76, and got 0 twice, including round 22.

I was 2 tips off bottom going into the last round, and the girl who was last got 4 :-D

I even tanked my footy tipping! (but I was trying)

Denis wont be coming back till after the trade period...

Look the contracts are not what the players want and Denis wont and shouldnt change that.
Denis doesnt handle the contracts.... he might give some guidelines to the CEO aabout how important each player is to the structure of the club going forwards but thats it...

If they were really important they would have been signed up 3 or 4 weeks prior to trade period along with Deluca and Co wouldnt they????

A couple of those blokes have it spelt out to them what they MUST take to stay.. and if it doesnt suit them we will find them a new home if its possible or bye bye....

The other is major trade bait going forwards and has been handled very well to give himself every chance to continue a career in football and allow us to get value for the club to start moving forwards.

Yet another has a huuuuge contract but will be demoted from captaincy

And the clubs average age has dropped and were rebuilding finally...

Umm thanks for telling me something I tried to tell you earlier this year and last year IIRC

But given that Dennis is away enjoying some sun at the moment it would be wise to wait until he gets back to seek his opinion as the negoiations develop.

Good point Mark. Denis wil have his holiday, and then things will start to move one way or the other, once he's had his say.

For a $25 investment at my work coming last would've got you $300.00! You weren't alone in tanking your tips!
