Well they start now with the trade period and the draft and then the pre season draft...

You can bet your bottom dollar we have the home ground advantage with this one.....

No home ground advantage....we actually make the rules...

We have traded and picked well in the recent past...I really hope the hardnosed effort continues and doesn't slacken due to complacency.

Trade hard, bargain hard...this is our time boys , let's go out and show them what we're made of.....

(I must admit that half way through the 3rd yesterday I was dreading losing the PP...for the first time this season..Oooh I felt sooo dirty....that's why I didn't go....first match all year I voluntarily missed....)

Now lets see who we can pick from...I think we'll have
Marc Murphy or Shannon Hurn or Xavier Ellis or Josh Kennedy or Patrick Ryder or Beau Dowler

Come on down boys, daddy Dennis is waiting for you, to nurture and sculpture you into great footballers, to rebuld this great club and smash any opposition who stands in our way of a flag.

As I said elsewhere he has got to his lips off Ron Evan's arse long enough to say "Carlton" & "Pick Number 1" in the same sentence.

Don't say it Mark - have had nightmares of Caroline suddenly writing articles about how the AFL has circumstantial evidence of tanking and as a consequence the picks are going to be taken away.

Hopefully it will top the work done in 2003 with walker and stevens scotland - really important few months for the club
Everyone has been talking about us needing elite young talent and now we have the opportunity to access it.
Important that youngsters on list whilst having a break also work hard before official pre- season starts so that they build a sound base for 2006 -They also need to work also on deficiencies ie bentick on his pace - fisher on his kicking de luca on his marking and kicking skills
Most of the list need extra sessions in the gym to build up physique

Remains to be seen just how much 'elite talent' will be in this draft.

All the better to have early picks and pick the eyes out of it then. Next year you'll get a cracker of a kid at pick 12. Pick 12 this year will get you a maybe.

I think that it means your pick 20 might turn out as good as pick 4. The diamond in the rough scenario might play out big time this year.

These next few months are going to be the defining moments of the rebuilding of the Carlton Football Club.

Let's get it right with our trades and selections. Hughesy, the pressures' on you.

In years to come, we hope to reflect on this period as being a defining moment in the comeback of the this great footy club.

Tekno,

What do you think the answer to this would be?
Carlton will swap there first 3 picks to any other 15 teams in the competiton for there first 3 picks.
