While disappointing for Adrian (could have been a top player), it's good news for the club. |

No-one wins in a case like this. It's sad that it came to this, and best of luck to Adrian, a Premiership player for the blues. |

Very pleased for the Club - not so for the original AW. JohnM is right to say that no-one wins in this situation. Adrian Whitehead was a star in his all too brief career and his claim for damages against the Blues has been a sad chapter. Good luck, Adrian. In time we'd love to see you back at Princes Park. |

OUCH!! Up for 100 Magilla's - that's gotta hurt more than the foot. Let this be a lesson to all the other kids out there with $$ in their eyes. |

yep, no winners there. Buggered career, buggered bank balance. Our loss on the career I reckon. |

Hate things like this.Whitehead was a good player.Life is too short to remain angry.Hopefully he may return one day to a 1995 reunion. |

Yes indeedy to all of the above. I've had a discussion about Whitey with Andrew McKay...needless to say his time at the club (and away from the club) is very interesting...Unfortunately he lost the plot. Perhaps he could write a book - which would do him no favours and see him in a pretty poor light - but crikey it would make for good reading! |

I don't feel bad for him one bit, he wasn't gagged and strapped down when they put the injections in. |

I feel sorry for him cause how the hell is he going to pay all costs? The people that were advising him to go ahead should be shot and he unfortunately made the wrong decision again. ![]() |

You are being very simplistic. He was lied to by doctors who said there would be no long term effects. Players are put under tremendous pressure to play week-in-week-out. You gotta symphathise with the guy, he coulda been a champion. (no "coulda been a contender" jokes please) |

if you had followed the case you would know that is not the conclusion of the court. Your statement is actually defamatory, even though you have not directly named the doctors. But the only winners are the lawyers. |

Still defamatory. The court has ruled that he wasn't lied to or misled. You could say "he believed he was misled" (if this is true) and you'd be okay. |
