http://www.heraldsun.news.com.au/footy/common/story_page/0,8033,16459454%255E19762,00.html "Draft picks are crucial" - aint that the truth. Can't find too much to disagree with in this unfortunately ![]() |

Somehow I think Synbad may have an issue with Lance in the "you're excused" column. ![]() Pretty fair summation expect for the bit about Walker and Russell. Very premature to put them in the same sentence as Vance and Massie. This idea that kids are supposed to walk in to sides and be champions immediately is a load of rubbish. Still remember some idiots calling Cooney a hack last season. |

"But they haven't, or haven't yet, got results from their top 10 draft picks" I'd say that's pretty fair - they're not saying that AW and Russell have failed, just that we haven't yet got results from them. |

I suppose so John but are they expecting instant results? |

Probably BB, but it's only a little article in the Herald Sun. Written in 20 minutes, tomorrow's fish and chip wrapping. Who really cares? I think people can care too much about what newspapers say. They have to fill 110 pages every single day and don't have the time or the resources to research and think through every piece they write. This sort of stuff is filler, fluff, junk. Don't sweat it. |
