I can't find the link but in the Sun today Mark Stevens suggests a Player of the finals award. Only problem is he wants it named after Kevin Bartlett. Surely it would be more appropriate to name it the Stephen Kernahan medal. Even when Carlton were flogged in finals Sticks always played well and kicked a bag.

Norm Smith Medal is enough. Realistically the player of the finals will most likely come from the two grand final teams.

Who'll take the Dominator home this year?

If its named after the Dominator the medal should be glow-in-the-dark so it looks good at the disco.

Would be hard to imagine a player who's team didn't make the Grand Final winning it

Who cares.
SOS could have won one in 1995 even though he wasnt BOG in the Grannie. They give a medal for anything these days. At least this one has some merit

How about a medal for the stupidest suggestions/comments/articles in the football media?

We could call it the Rucci Medal.

"Mark Stevens, winner of this year's Rucci..."

I like it.

Game starts now. :-D

Post your nominations please...

Actually - this deserves a thread.

Back in a mo'...

Speaking of great finals players. As long as its named after SOS Sticks or the Dom I'm all for it.

What about the Helen D'Amico award for most eye-catching performance in a finals series?
