Tyrants, we never saw the best of Lang. I think I saw him in most VFL games that year, and whilst he had no pace, when he did get the ball - by finding space somehow - he was a dead-eyed kick for goal. Some shots of his from the boundary were amazing. But he wasn't strong enough to outmakr anyone, couldn't take a pack mark, and was slow on the lead. Was it his kicking for goal that got you 'excited'? |

Tony Lynn, Rohan Welsh, Chris Bond, Peter Rohde. Dessie English was my favourite all-time non-star. He was probably a star, being part of r a legendary team, but he and Curly Austin never got the kudos the other guys got. I was gutted when Des was diagnosed with cancer (lymphoma?), but was there for his comeback match - it was an emotional moment. |

Ron DeIulio! Three favourite memories: 1. At the MCG one day, he was flying along the wing, with Fraser Brown somehow managing to keep up in support. Ronny decided to handball to Fraser, who was unfortunately outside the boundary line. 2. Also flying along the wing at the 'G (reserves game I think), took a bounce, and it bounced sideways over the boundary. 3. Ronny going mental at some bloke in the Heatley Stand one day (he was out of the team) who was picking on a retarded kid that Ronny knew. |

Michael Mansfield despite the fact he was treading water at Carlton and a shadow of his former self.He at least gave 100% every time he ran out, chased, tackled and wasn't afraid to throw himself into thick of the action. |

The Pup and the Mouse. It was a bit like Land Of The Giants watching these little guys run around, and the funny thing was the Pup didnt seem to care how big the Giants were. |
