One of the positives to come out of the season was the emergence of Simpson .My thoughts are to play him on a wing but with stints on the ball and up forward. He showed real class in some games and has some mongrel in him which is what we need more of in 2006 and beyond. It shows that we need to have patience with guys before they hit their straps at senior level.I must say I thought he was just a player but his second half showed what a really good player he is. He had the confidence to take the play head on while the walls were crumbling around him. Hopefully that will continue and rub off on other players. |

Anywhere and everywhere. Kade has the ability to play in each part of the ground. Midfield for obvious reasons. Forward because he's quick and he's a beautiful kick and should be able to snag a goal or two. Defence because he can play as a hard-running rebounder. He can also take the kick outs. Simpson is one of the few on our list with the ability to turn into an elite player. I hope they have a long-term plan to develop him into an allround player, by eventually giving him experience all over the ground at senior level. |

Will be interesting to see how he goes as he's going to receive extra attention from the opposition. How he copes with even being tagged (it's a possibility) will determine the type of player he is and will be. Same for carrots too. |

On the ground will be the best place to play him. That said I would not be surprised to see him get the roles that Andrew Walker got this year - ie the tagging of the opp's best running players. |

Out of interest, what number draft pick did we get Simmo for? |

I'd play him wing and half forward. His skills are pretty good and he knows to jag a goal on the run. Could play the midfield role Campo used to play, but without recieving all the handballs out the back. |

Pick 45 is correct 2002 draft. I believe he was touted as a first round pick but for some reason lasted until the third round. Maybe they thought he was too thin. Looks like we may have salvaged something from the 2002 draft. I'd play him on the wing, good attacking player and not a bad defensive side either. |

He is an outside running player no doubt. Playing on the wing would suit him as well as Pagans paddock. I also like him playing more a a half forward because he can kick goals just outside 50 and puts pressure on their defence. Would also give him roles everynow and again eg tagging, and Campos recieving role |

Needs to be given some space to run so a wing or half-forward flank would suit him. However, in time he should be moved into an onball role. |
