Growing up
Carlton was never ever in the Press off season.
St Kilda were always there

Now

It's the other way around.

Gawd I hate things like this...... Maybe I'm in an awful Sliders episode and we really haven't fallen this far.

I am looking around and Kari Wuhrer is nowhere to be seen.

But

Cheer Up. We got the no. 1 pick. We're going to be in the mainstream press all week. We've got Irishmen coming through. We've got 5 young players who are going to make an impact.

We have lots of positive stories too and the press is needed to keep the fans as members in 2006.

Lot of people love them though - thrive on them even.

We aren't at our lowest ebb by a long shot. You need to be more positive in viewing our situation.

- 3 picks in top 20
- New refurbished offices and gym
- No Campo
- Appointment of new coaching staff
- A win at the contract table with Lappin and Whitnall.
- Great pickup in Saddington.
- Melbourne Storm to share Optus Oval
- The President stating we will be undertaking a youthful approach to the draft.

The media beat up on Whitnall is just poor taste. Who really cares what he looks like now, it is how he looks come round 1 and come the first final next September that counts.

I'd be cool with it of Kari Wuhrer were here... she'd find a way to make things right

Clubs at the bottom of the table always get these stories. The media know the clubs are in the spot light and supporters are irritated – so easy to stir controversy and interest with negative stories. Nothing unusual here. I just wish people could hold back with doom and gloom until the season starts…

The good thing about ebbs are, you know there'll soon be a flow. And flows are nice. I like flows.

Its a bit like when Tommy Lahiff was asked by Harry Beitzel to give his hightlights for the day's game.

Tommy used to give his High Highlight then his Low Highlight, then when he got really confused he used to give his Low Lowlight then his High Lowlight. After that Harry used to say, "Thanks Tommy".
