Wont ever forget the gut wrenching / soul destroying and utter despair of that night /morning after sitting talking to everyone on here for hours waiting for the the inevitable to happen- hoping like crazy that they would show a modicum of leniency- knowing they wouldnt - the immediate realisation of the loss of wells and goddard, the extraordinary fine the sanctimonious Evans and Demetriou, the loss of first pick in the pre season and the loss of subsequent early picks - the realisation that they had almost wiped us out - realisation that email campaign did nothing and ordinary supporters have no impact in the process
I remember the utter desolation when the decision came down about 2 AM and I couldnt log on for a number of days after the decision- simply too painful - couldnt sleep
I outline the above to contrast how Im feeling tonight 3 years later and about 10 hours or so from us finally getting what we were entitled - the excitement of getting Marc Murphy the best kid in the land for his age - the hope and expectation of getting a key position player with pick 4 and the last young gun key position player we got was Sticks Kernahan - hoping the guy at pick 4 is of his ilk - the expectation of getting another gun player at pick 20 -hopefully with some size and another good player and perhaps a left field choice at 36 - tomorrow hopefully I will be on all day -whilst one ear on SEN and draft special at 2.00 pm on 10
- cant sleep tonight it might be the weather but it also might be the navy blue heart pumping in the chest a little bit stronger in expectation

They say a week is a long time in football 3 years are an eternity - go get them tomorrow Blues this is our destiny - grab some guns and we are on way

It's like Christmas eve to an 8 year old!

Don't we all !!

Hardest position to play and the good ones don't come round that often, here's hoping.

Good on you Frank - we can all deal with Black Friday in our own way, you are a gentlemen.

Me on the other hand I prefer my own mode of "catharisis".

Spot on Frank, I'm buzzin.
amazing also that since the penalties every No#1 pick has been a Carlton supporter:
Goddard
Cooney
Deledio
but not the one we get Murphy.
