We all know how Campo has tainted this guernsey - so let's reminisce about some of the more proud men to have donned the '4x4'.

Jimmy Buckley - great rover, great drinker and great gambler. A 'man's man', for want of a better phrase.

Campo was awesome until these last couple years. I flower hate the way you flower bag the shit out of him after all the great games he's played for us.

I'm glad he's gone to, but don't forget all the awesome shit he's done in a Carlton footy club guernsey.

took the words right out of my mouth......i have a couple of favourite #16 memories.....

1. a skinny little kid coming off the bench and kicking the goal he will always remember in the 95 grand final. Seeing the look on his face when he kicked that goal, being carried around by sticks, i'll never forget that.

2. IIRC it was round 3 2001. All of our big names pulled out pre match. we had no koutoufides, no ratten, no brown, no bradley, and no silvagni. Campo kicked one of the best goals i've ever seen him kick. he took the ball at half forward, arched his back, beat two Essendon* defenders and snagged a real captains goal-he was captain that night after all. We went on to win the game and campo played a blinder.

i have too been critical of campo, but even though he burnt us, lets face it, in the modern era, there are going to be times when agreements cant be made and two parties, in relationship terms, grow apart.

I'm disappointed that it happened the way it did, but i honestly wish campo the best of luck, even if it is like a knife through the heart to see him with that red and black on, good luck campo, and thanks for the memories.

Yes. I agree.....I always loved a Campo goal...he was so passionate....He celebrates a goal as well as anyone...yeah?

I reckon he might still play some blinders for Essendon*.....pity really....but he isn't in our plans...so yeah....bye bye.

I remember Chris Bond kicking a goal in the wet at the G against Richmond in the early 90's. Ran back to the centre with the first in the air.

Actually I remember Buckley doing a similar thing against Essendon* at Waverley even earlir in the 90's. His first game after a long absence.

#16 has long belonged to an on-baller with good goal sense.

Greg Kennedy wore #16 and was a great full forward for us in 1972-3 and 1975.

We got him down as a reluctant recruit from the Bendigo area; but couldn't convince him to stay; however he did play 48 games and kicked 143 goals.

We were at PP one day against Hawthorn in 1972 when Greg kicked 12.3.

He kicked 76 goals that year....another bushie like Stephen Oliver who also hated the City.

And if you add the numbers on the back of Harme's jumper (3+7) to the number on Sheldon's jumper (5) and then add the number of times the ball went out of bounds in that passage of play (1).... you get 16!

I actually have a lot of good memories of The Cancereale playing for us, up until this year.

I would have loved him to live up to his full potential with us. The fact that he's a lazy sooky lala meant he never will.

Oh well.....life goes on.
