When it comes to goalkicking, Fevola won't be rushed Quote: Unlike Essendon* captain Matthew Lloyd, who has tinkered with his famous goalkicking routine of preening and grass tossing, Fevola intends to stick to what works.

I'm guessing that Brendan will be the first player in the AFL "pinged" under this rule once the home & away season starts, and the "Spew", "Ando the Arselicker" & "Giesch the Git" are licking their chops and waiting with anticipation. ![]() |

From the looks of it you only have 30 seconds from the time you mark the ball, regardless if you are dragged to the ground...... If Fev doesn't pull his finger out, the ump will call play on as he is walking backward to the start of his run up... |

That can't be right - surely - unless you start dishing out 50m penalties to defenders who drag their opponents down (and I mean consistently) then they will ALL be doing it. Mind you, I don't ming if they call play on for Fev too much - I actually find he is a much better shot from goald when on the run and kicking over his shoulder. |

As long as he has the ball and is having a shot is a breakthrough for our team. |

If a player that has a free kick is dragged to the ground then the umpires will be blowing time-off. After they blow time on then Fev will have 30 seconds. Fair enough too. We could kick a couple of goals from other plays if Fev didn't have the ball. |

I thought this would be about his selection in the Wizzer and rushing him back into the game to kick goals! |

From the golden missing slippers himself... http://www.heraldsun.news.com.au/footy/common/story_page/0,8033,18233043%255E19764,00.html Quote: "On Friday night, one time I was legged and I got a free kick and by the time I got myself up from the ground and back to the top of my mark, it was nearly 20 seconds," he said. Quote: Umpires twice told Lloyd he had used 20sec of his allotted time, once when he hadn't even reached the top of his run-up.
